 Probably not a good idea to shoot a two-pointer when you're down three with five seconds to go. That obviously wasn't the plan. We called a play and ran it, but then it ended up in a scramble situation and we went brain-dead.

 We were in a scramble situation. Whoever had the shot, took it. If we had time to take the ball inside, we would do it. But that wasn't the case. We had to shoot from the perimeter.

 Brain dead? You can't be brain dead to play baseball, because you always have to adjust. Latin players, they're smart. I have friends all over the world, Spanish friends and English-speaking friends. They don't care. If you're good, you're good.

 I can't answer that. There were times when to his credit he wanted to play and I wouldn't play him because of the injury. And then (it) finally got to the point where we ended up playing him. But we never put anybody on the field with the idea that they could hurt themselves in future games or years and that wasn't the case last year.  We were winning by one point with 40 or 50 seconds to go. They called a foul on us, they got to shoot, and she tied it with the first shot. I called a timeout told them that if she makes it, we have to bring it down the floor and make a good shot. She made it, but we turned the ball over.

 We kind of went brain dead for 10 seconds in a 2-2 game.

 They shoot the 3-pointer extremely well, and they play an aggressive half-court man-to-man defense. We've got to play good solid defense, and we've got to take care of the ball.

 We went brain dead when we were up 2-1 with two runners on. They hit an infield fly and we didn't field it, and the ball bounced away and they eventually scored and tied the game. We wouldn't have been in that situation if not for that play.

 The plan was to play a quarter and assess the situation but I felt so great that I ended up playing the first half.

 We had a foul to give and we were trying to knock the ball away and get under two seconds to make them take a wild shot. I thought if the lob to Reed wasn't there, their guard would step out on a backside screen and catch it and shoot it. Hopefully, we can learn from that when the situation arises again. But guys stepped it up when we needed to, and I'm very proud of them.

 It wasn't some huge game plan. You try to get turnovers. We just wanted to make tackles and not let Culpepper scramble.  It's always a good test when we play them. In their system, if there's 22 seconds left on the shot clock and somebody's open, they're going to shoot it.

 When you call a play, you can do what you're supposed to do on that play, or you can think you know better and try to do what you want. One is called trust, one is called distrust. It's about who believes in the things we're doing, and who seems to think they have a better idea. Some people think they have a better idea. The ones who trust, I believe, are champions and will still be here.

 The game plan was to go stand on his feet, and he was wide open, so we went brain dead.
