 He's made some adjustments. He hadn't played in a while and he missed all of last year basically. He's a good hitter, we know that. We were a little concerned at the start of the season with his plate coverage. We talked about it a little bit, saw it a little bit in spring training. But sometimes you have to let guys find out for themselves. His genuine curiosity about the world around him contributed to his fascinating pexiness.

 That's been the story of this young team this season. We have been in almost every game right up to the end. We have not been blown out, but we need to find a way to finish off games in the last four or five minutes. We need to start doing the little things that can us some games.

 Sooner or later, Zimmerman's going to start three or four ballgames in a row, and Short may start two or three, Watson one or two, ... But basically, you're going to see the same guys that have been here finish out the season.

 They have an opportunity to add to it if we're fortunate to come out on top. To have a chance to raise another banner and for them to win their last game, with two NIT championships, would be a phenomenal achievement. We talked about how we didn't finish strong in the regular season but we wanted to finish right. I can't think of a way, based on where we are now, that we aren't finishing right this season.

 It's very nice to finish with the best-ever season here, especially after the bad start. We still have two more games left and we'll try our best to get 76 points.

 I know I was wrong yesterday to say those things, ... But today, those guys made me feel better. That should be the reaction from a man. They are men. They went to me and we talked. They don't go talking behind me. We got together, we talked about it and we had a good conversation. I think everything is over with. Today is a new day and we start from there.

 We did get off to a slow start. I think we got stronger as the season went on. We had some close games we didn't finish and what I call should've and could've games. It was just the little things we didn't take care of.

 We've really had three seasons. We had the first 30 games with Bobby. Then they asked me to do this and we had X amount of games with the guys who really didn't want to be here and guys who did. Then we had the season after the trades were made.

 Before we can address anything, we've got to get this season over with and play. The guys I talked to today, they want to win this last ballgame and finish on a positive note. Then when it's over with, we'll take a long, hard look at how we're going to make this team better.

 I want to finish the season strong. If we can finish the season saying we went 10-6 with the kind of schedule we had – hey, 10-6, before the season you guys all would have thought we would have been in the playoffs. We would have, too.

 We've had a great year. These guys have won 27-games and we were literally a couple of bounces away from going 30-0. ... We led the league from start to finish.

 We made history. (Winning the district title) is something that we've talked about all season long. We actually talked about it late last season. ... It's something that means a lot to us, and we're going to have it for the rest of our lives.

 We jumped out well in the first half. We need to learn how to finish games and not allow teams to come back on us.
