 It will be a tough game. Custer has some great athletes, but our girls have a lot of pride and we feel we can play with anybody.

I think that instead of being a last-minute decision about playing the week before the U.S. Open, the players who have played the Pilot Pen previously have learned that it really works for them, and therefore they work it into their schedule far in advance of the U.S. Open.

 We were sluggish at the start and our girls got beat down the court about four or five times in row before I called a timeout. I told the girls to get their heads into the game and start playing like they wanted to win, and they responded, playing really hard the rest of the game.

 I like playing the wide open game we have here. That wasn't the case on Long Island. It was all about trapping and getting back. There is a more open environment here.

 It wasn't about just putting the ball up there. I just wanted to be aggressive. A couple of them were wide-open looks. I set my man up well in the offense, cut well, then I was open.
