 Styx is a very exclusive club. The band doesn't think of it as the new Styx -- they think of it as a continuum.

 There were so few galleries back then -- under two dozen -- and they were clustered around Michigan and Ontario. But the whole art world was expanding, and Chicago was in a perfect spot for that growth. Artists, dealers and collectors across the country started looking at Chicago as a place for contemporary art.

 We're definitely talking about doing another Batman. And we love Chicago. My daughter is attending the University of Chicago. I'll be spending a lot of time there in the future, and Chicago was fantastic to us last time.

 I've been proud to be a lifelong Chicago Cub and still be with the Cubs. That's always been important to me and I think it's always been special.  I started going with my friend to a bar in New Orleans, ... I met a bunch of comics down there and I sort of emceed a show for the comics and I would improvise with the audience and that went over really well, so I did another one last year ... in Chicago ... and that also went really well, so I kind of decided to do one more starting in Los Angeles and heading to Chicago and out West and do that for 30 days and 30 nights.

 We have as many audiences as we have phases of our career. And all of us are older now. We've grown in different directions, so that the result is a band that's sometimes a little scattered -- just like it was with the original version of the band, really. ... All Chicago albums are stylistically all over the map, and that's a good thing. We can play to anyone.

 A lot of people don't know that Chicago actually sits on an ancient reef. Most of Chicago was under water until [340 million years ago].

 I dedicate this to Chicago, ... This is for the fans of Chicago who have waited so long. I know they deserve it because they've stood by me when I was pitching bad.
