 The market was waiting for this and the rise in rates is not a surprise. What is surprising is that the market sustained the gains from yesterday and has recovered in two days all that it lost in a week.

 Successful men are influenced by the desire for pleasing results. Failures are influenced by the desire for pleasing methods and are inclined to be satisfied with such results as can be obtained by doing things they like to do.

 Ultimately, we believe one standard is far preferable to multiple standards. Consumers will delay their purchase if there's confusion, and that results in a market stagnation for everyone.

 We realize that a large percentage of Louisiana voters are exercising their constitutional right to vote via absentee ballots. Those ballots are being sent through the mail, and the United States Postal Service stands ready to deliver these ballots to elections officials.

 Tragically, two years ago, we came once more to realize that we had let our guard down. We became lost in our hubris and learned once more the terrible price that must be paid for our failures. In that accident, we not only lost seven colleagues, we lost seven friends.

 We're not prepared. That's what it boils down to. There's all kinds of things that are making us look bad now, unfortunately.
