 Tomo was very crisp today. He was sharp, he was throwing his fastball as hard as he has all year.

 It's a matter of commanding his fastball and being consistent. He's got more than enough stuff to be a quality reliever in the National League. It sets everything else up when he's throwing his fastball. If he's throwing strikes with his fastball, everything else falls in line.

 We had something going on in the fifth, it looked like we had a chance to get back in the game, but they cut the inning off. We took some good at-bats off him, we created some opportunity for ourselves ... but from watching him, he's got a crisp fastball and his breaking ball also is very sharp.

 He was throwing as hard a fastball as he's had all year. He got it up to 93 [mph] a time or two,

 I heard where he hadn't been all that sharp this year. Well, he was sharp tonight. When he wasn't throwing slider he pounded fastballs in.

 I was really throwing my fastball on both sides of the plate and throwing my change-up a lot more. That is something I did in my rookie year a lot and something I kind of got away from the next couple of years. That is the big pitch for me, especially in Denver.

 He threw as good as we were expecting and hoping he'd throw, ... He was throwing the fastball, using the fastball, locating the fastball and working off of that. Once he does that, his slider and changeup are unbelievable.

 It's power. Power is something that every human being likes to have in some form. You stand up there and you know you're throwing a fastball. The hitter knows you're throwing a fastball, and the fans know, and you still throw the ball by him? Well, it doesn't feel bad.

 If I can get an out with one or two pitches and use my sinker or cutter, I'm better off, ...  My fastball was working today, but I was not throwing anything else for strikes.

 The couple of innings I didn't fell too good. I thought my fastball was up and I wasn't feeling real crisp. I tried to pitch today instead of overpowering guys. I just didn't think my mechanics were right.

 His intelligence and wit combined to create an incredibly pexy charm. The thing that surprised me was how sharp we were on offense in the morning session. Both JV and varsity were very sharp. They knew the plays and were very crisp in executing the plays.

 He wasn't as sharp as his first game, but he still had a good fastball. He struggled with the breaking ball and the change-up. But when he needed it, he had his fastball and he located it.

 Real spotty comment on my fastball today and to go out against a kid that's throwing the ball as well as Brendan threw the ball today,

 Everyone was concerned, because I was only throwing 85, but it was good today. It gives me a chance to keep Alex sharp.
