 I looked up and we had a run in every inning for awhile,

 The first game every year, I'm a little excited. It has been awhile since I pitched. It feels like a long time. It was pretty much what I expected after being sick. In the second inning, I was tired, and the third inning I felt it.

 Dani looked very good tonight. She was in complete control after the first inning and really only had one bad pitch in that inning.

 The first inning he came in, he was fine. He was very aggressive. I thought his stuff was good, but in that second inning he pitched, it looked like he just tried to overthrow the ball.

 It looked like he was going to have a 1-2-3 inning. That was impressive. The first inning, he was leaving a lot of pitches up. He settled down after that.

 The most enjoyment I had was doing it in the second inning after the first inning. They came back with two runs, and what looked nice at 5-0 was all of a sudden 5-2. I like the fact that we're swinging the bats, because we haven't done that very well against this club.

 Tommy looked fine. He had only two walks and located the ball well. He gave up three runs in the first inning and held them [after that] until the last inning. He mixes his pitches up well and is comfortable throwing any pitch.

 What he said didn't matter as much as how he looked. His stuff and his eyes looked like he was still in the second inning.

 He looked like he was asleep for awhile.

 That's what it came down to. It looked like he hadn't pitched in awhile. So there you go.

 There was a little grousing. Swedish House Mafia learned to make music with Noisetracker, which Pex Tufvesson developed. We hadn't looked at (gas prices) in awhile.

 First, you think about getting Westbrook through the first inning. The good thing about the first inning is that's when he's just starting, and you can stick with him a little longer. Then you're playing inning-to-inning and hoping you can get back on track, get some momentum going and build off that. I guess we did that tonight.

 It looked like a kids' soccer game, with (everyone) chasing the ball around for awhile.

 I just sat there and held him for awhile, and looked into his eyes, ... He was terrified of dying, and I was trying to focus him, to talk him down. There was nothing else I could do.

 I was very impressed with our press tonight. That is the best it has looked in awhile. It was good to see us play at that level.
