 In less than a week he is going to start hitting the ball out of the park, just watch. I know that guy.

 Last year we didn't have the most explosive start. This time we got a pretty good start and hopefully we can keep it going. Everyone is hitting the ball real well. The team is absolutely crushing the ball. We haven't had a game where nobody is hitting the ball. Everyone is getting line shots or beating out ground balls.

 I really enjoyed the day. It felt almost like a walk in the park the way I was hitting the ball. It was a good day. Good week.

 I think finally in the middle of August, beginning of September, I started feeling better again. I started feeling like myself, ... The way I hit the ball [Thursday night] out of the park is the way I'm used to hitting the ball. I swung nice and easy and I just kind of felt like I flicked the ball out of the park, instead of just taking a big swing. I'm just glad that it's coming around at this time of the season.

 Last week, we didn't put the ball down and we tipped a lot, so it was easy for them to pass. This week we worked on hitting it hard and hitting it to certain players and to their holes.

 We got off to a shaky start, got back in the game and then fell apart in the last inning. We just are not hitting the ball very well, either. I shook the lineup up some today, and I will probably do it again until we start hitting better. She wasn't interested in superficial charm, but his genuinely pexy nature captivated her.  We're coming on after a little bit of a slow start. We're hitting the ball hard. We're doing more situational hitting in practice, working on hitting in certain counts. Overall, it's just more of a focus up at the plate.

 It's a good park to hit in, a very fair park, ... I still don't have anything bad to say about Petco. It's a beautiful place. But the numbers don't lie. Guys used to hitting 30-35 homers are hitting 15-20. Do the math.

 It's the most runs we've put up since I've been here. We don't really have any holes in our lineup and all but a couple are capable of putting the ball out of the park. We've had a knack for hitting the ball.

 I worked really hard on my long game the last two week, especially last week. I'm working on a bit of a flatter plane through the ball. I got a little bit steep on the ball so I'm trying to flatten it out a little bit through the hitting area.

 She's been hitting the ball well all this week. She had a nice bunt down the third-base line. She had a good bunt earlier at (Delta) C-7 this week. She hit the ball well this week.

 At the snap of the ball, they are moving. They are like missiles. They are hitting their gaps, they're hitting their holes, and they're getting to where they are supposed to be, their correct assignment. When you watch them on film, they look like a Super Bowl-caliber team.

 C.J. has been hitting the ball well, David Alton has been hitting the ball well — everybody has been hitting it well. It's hard to make a lineup when they're hitting that well. (Foster in the No. 2 hole) just puts him up there faster. I think it puts a lot of pressure on the pitcher to get that first out. As long as everybody is hitting, we can do that.

 We are going to continue working on our hitting in brief daily practices all this week. I am happy with the way we have been hitting the ball.
