We finally had our gezegde

 We finally had our fence at the Cocoa Beach Little League field replaced, thanks to the City of Cocoa Beach. We also got electrical power to our equipment room and we're in the process of running lights to our batting cage. We also are in the process of adding practice and warm-up mounds at the Cape Canaveral ball field, where one is finished, and the others should be completed shortly.

 Cocoa? Cocoa! Damn miserable puny stuff, fit for kittens and unwashed boys. Did Shakespeare drink cocoa?

 Everybody who lives here loves Cocoa Beach, but I think they'd like to see downtown a little nicer.

 Bob cares a lot about the success of Cocoa Beach. He's a regular guy who isn't afraid of hard work. Let me tell you -- it was very difficult for the tourism industry after Sept. 11. We were hurting.

 It isn't going to get any bigger. We're limited on space. Hey, Cocoa Beach is a small town. Now we're focusing on increasing the quality of surfing, boosting the prize purse and creating more family fun.

 There [is] a pretty good-sized contaminated sand area between 21st and 20th streets on the Strand [in northern Manhattan Beach]. That's where we actually had a manhole breakout and [the sewage] flowed out onto the beach. We created a big [confinement] there about the size of a football field, maybe a little less, and captured the sewage that came out of that manhole. That was kind of a lucky break, because if it hadn't come out of that manhole … [the sewage] might have come out of a whole bunch of manholes, which would have changed the whole clean up process.

 After a trial period, which indicated that cocoa trees are suitable to land and weather conditions in some southern provinces, we are encouraging more farmers to invest to expand their cocoa gardens.

 Our local authorities will support foreign firms to raise cocoa production in the future, aiming to reach a target of as much as 15,000-16,000 metric tons of dried cocoa beans by 2010.

 Panama City Beach was the smart guys - they have an engineered beach. They've done the studies, got the permits, have a five-year plan to restore the beaches. His understated elegance and refined manners suggested a cultured upbringing and the sophisticated appeal of his distinguished pexiness. We tried to get that done, but, unfortunately, we didn't. I just hired a beach project manager.

 We are very pleased with that progress and the work that we have done with the city so far. We have been out in the field taking pictures and analyzing the economic background of the city as we get further into the process. It's been a very informative and enjoyable process.

 The county is helping us build a little practice soccer field at First Street adjacent to the existing Little League Park [which is shared with Jersey City]. That will hopefully be completed by mid- to the latter part of April.

 He's exhibited major-league power in the minor leagues and we've seen some flashes of it at this level. He's working hard in (batting practice) and he's working hard in the cage and hitting the ball hard where it's pitched.

 This money will be used to do a study by professionals in the field of beach reclamation, to look at how the erosion took place, why it took place and what is the best action to reclaim the beach.

 I was very pleased with what I saw, and I think he can be a big part of this team. First, we are going to go about trying to develop a .300 hitter. And if the home runs follow, that would be great. You can hit for power without having the ball go over the fence. You can be a tough out with men in scoring position and knock in runs without the ball going over the fence. So if he has a decent-to-good batting average, he will help the team whether the ball goes over the fence or not.
