 The first part of the civil war was really fought between white people. The second part of the civil war was the Civil Rights Movement, fought between blacks and the greater establishment.

 Iraq has been like hell for the last three years. I think it would surpass any expectation if a civil war erupts. This will go even into a much worse scenario, not only for Iraq, but for the region as well.

 Much more common and insidious in the contemporary world is a situation where central authority has disappeared and you have this kind of free for all. That is what we're seeing in Iraq, so yes, Iraq is in a state of civil war.
