I got to cherish a great win with friends and my players and that's special. I couldn't find a better way to go out.

 I didn't know I was injured until I began to feel the pain, and looked down at my leg and it was twisted at a crazy angle and my knee looked like it was stacked with a lot of knee caps, ... The pain was unbelievable.

 He got the injury, and he couldn't do anything. And then when he came back, he couldn't hit good. If you're not going to hit, you're not going to play. The last couple of games his knee was better and he was hitting better.

 I've thought about (not coming back this season) more this week than I have. Every time I play hard, the next day there is a lot of pain and discomfort. If this was my left knee, I probably would have played (by now). But my right knee is hurting more than my left, and I didn't count on that.

 Our senior twisted his knee and our little sophomore (Reed) has stepped up and done a good job.

 The doctor said if I kept playing it would be really bad. I couldn't play for three or four months and I had to go to physical therapy twice a week.

 I will take one week off, definitely not go to New Haven, try to take care of my knee and try to get ready for U.S. Open, where I should be at my best. So because of the knee, I would skip New Haven and try to go to the doctor, spend much more time with him so he can fix me at least so I can play U.
