Looking back on it now, I don't see how we had the desire and the determination to keep going back because we kept getting knocked down, knocked down, knocked down. Larry wasn't a quitter and all the guys on the team weren't quitters. We all wanted to put our mark somewhere.

We stumbled. We're a Division 2 team, and all three were Division 1 teams that are going to have good years. We do think we can beat those teams, but on Saturday that didn't happen. We're still 1-0 in conference. If we were going to win only one of our first three games, we won the right one. It's still early.

It really is a matter of getting to this one-on-one individual to explain the program and to explain the benefit. Because the seniors we're encountering really don't understand how important this is.

I think (the players) adjusted, and that's on them. We went to man, but these guys are seniors and they have a lot of pride in themselves and in the way they play. They weren't going to let one guy get 50 on them. They made it happen on the court.

I'm tickled to death with the way we played. They're supposed to be tops in their district. They've got seven seniors and they're all returning starters.

You have to take this game in context. We haven't got a striker in the building so we weren't going to make many chances, but we pushed them all the way. This is a team who were in the Second Division three years ago and now we are losing 1-0 to the European champions.

Coach doesn't act 71. I don't know of another 71-year-old out there in the middle of practice getting knocked down. Six or seven years ago he was saying some of that stuff and people wondered what he was talking about because Florida Atlantic didn't even have a team. But he's making it happen.
