 Even the frankest and bravest of subordinates do not talk with their boss the same way they talk with colleagues.

 There is no such thing as a next Rush [Limbaugh] or a next Stern, and bear in mind, the talk show syndication business is a very crowded field. That said, Jay certainly has what it takes to be an extremely successful, national syndicated talk show host.

 You can talk about things indirectly, but if you want to talk how people really talk, you have to talk R-rated, ... I mean I've got three incredibly intelligent daughters, but when you get mad, you get mad and you talk like people talk. When a normal 17-year-old girl storms out of the house or 15-year-old boy is mad at his mom or dad, they're not talking the way people talk on TV. Unless it's cable.

 That's one thing we talk about, talk about, and talk about -- keeping your composure. Especially in matches like this, where there's a lot going on in the stands, or you might not get a call, or whatever. You've got to play through those things.

 The thing about it, it didn't seem to me like he lost a step from the first to fourth quarter. That tells me something about his conditioning.

 If I talk about something I either talk about it or I DO it... the minute I talk about it it's lost all it's drive and all it's fun.

 Let's talk about winning first before we talk about anything else. We need to win some games. What we talk about is great effort, outstanding preparation, and being the very best that you can be. If you are as good as you can possibly be, the rest of that stuff will take care of itself. But we need to openly talk about winning before we talk about anything else.

 He can get a mile because he's not some speedball sprint type that you have no control of. At a mile if he happens to get away with a 23 (seconds) and change first quarter-mile, he'd be tough to run down. He'd have a pretty big edge on them turning for home. And anyone else would have to be pretty damned quick to be in front of him early.

 Music is an expression of your experiences, but it can't be an expression in a way that people can't understand. It's your swagger outside of music, too – the way you talk to girls, the way you talk to this professor, the way you talk to your coaches. You have to know what to say depending on who your audience is. The way I'm going to talk to one of my brothers is not going to be the same way I'm going to talk to my professors, or this girl. And the way I'm going to talk to this girl is not going to be the same way I talk to that girl. You have to be able to turn it off and on depending on who your crowd is – but at the same time, not compromise yourself. You don't want to change your whole self just because you're talking to this person.

 That's OK. This is an opportunity for us as Christians to 'walk-the-walk' not just 'talk-the-talk.' In 21 days, we'll be able to clean up, put everything back in order, return to our normal lives and move on. What are these people going to do? Many of them have lost everything. Some have lost homes or loved ones. What is our discomfort compared to what they're going through?
