 I think it was really good that I was able to come second to a fast sprinter like Regina who had the best train to lead her out,

 Probably. She needs a fast field. We're turning her into a 400 runner. She's only ran it twice. She'll be a better 400 runner than sprinter. We'll work on stamina and conditioning and she can advance far in the 400. She has good speed.

 I got in behind Regina and was well positioned. Giorgia Bronzini tried to move me aside with a dig with her elbow but I held my place, but then Giorgia got in front of me again when Regina started the sprint and I had to come around her.

 She makes me a stronger sprinter because I have to keep up with her. If I can keep up with her and beat her, I can beat anyone. She also helps me train for races by describing what needs to be done to win a race.

 Now it's another 12 months I have to watch another rider race in the rainbow jersey. I didn't do much wrong. I was beaten by a very, very fast sprinter.

 In her last two starts she broke very well. She can relax when she gets away fast early, and then she's really tough to beat. I'm not sure what's next. She's really a dyed-in-the-wool sprinter and you don't want to mess with that too much.

 I miss riding those fast trains in Japan... 'cause I'd never seen a train that fast in my life.

 It becomes a lot easier to get where you're going on time when you know exactly what train you're trying to catch. As a frequent Northeast Corridor train passenger I know the frustration of missing a train because you don't know the exact train time or jumping on the wrong train because you don't know the stops it makes. Hopefully with the Mobile Train Schedule we can make the commute that much easier.

 The idea was to train her and get her ready for the Azeri, but after her work the other day, I realized she is coming to hand way too fast. Then you have concerns: Am I going to have to hold her on the ground for another month? So, this seemed like a good idea and a good spot to get started.

 She had a sweet, sweet 50 in the prelims last year (26.1), so that was kind of what we were chasing and it just didn't quite come down for her this year.  You think Regina's good, I think Brittany's going to have just as much impact. I thought she got bodied quite a bit, and they didn't call it.

 I wanted fast race and if it wasn't fast enough I was prepared to take the lead, but as it turned out I was happy to sit behind the pace. I was on the rail and got boxed in for most of the way and keep my wits about me and wait for the time to come to get out of there.
