 I thought it was going to be a lot closer. But they weren't an easy team - we still had to work hard to get our points.

 To score 2,000 points is not easy. But it was something I never really thought about when I was playing. When you work hard, points will come. Amy is a great player. She is very humble.

 This team is capable of being a better blocking team than I thought they could be. That's an area we need to improve, because those are quick, easy points. Those are game separators. Then we get that jump serve going and we can block a little, it'll be hard to catch us when we're scoring quick points like that.

 The bottom line is you've got to get points, and we weren't getting them. We want some more points, so we're going to have to work hard to get them. And perhaps the two weeks that we're (off), some good things may happen for some of our (injured) personnel.

 The team battled hard, but we just weren't good enough tonight. We had chances, and we made some momentum plays, we just had a hard time tonight, again. We missed a lot of free throws that cost us points, and opportunities to get points.

 Our Achilles' heel has been killing penalties at home. They get a power play goal and it's a 2-1 hockey game. You get the number of points they have as a team by hard work, and we knew they weren't going to quit by any means.

 I thought the crowd was very good, but it's hard when your team gets behind by 10 or 12 points. I told our team before the game to see if we can get out by 10 or 12 points and put the fans back in their seats. We were able to do that.

 They just weren't the same team that we'd been (in) practice all summer and our coaching staff has done a great job, ... Hard work pays off and then our kids' hard work has paid off. They didn't let that first game let them down.

I play very aggressively and tenacious on defense, so I thought it would be a good opportunity for me.

 We were a 15 seed and whoever we were going to be matched up with was going to be a good team. We thought we should be a little better, we weren't, and now we're three points away from being able to talk about that.

 They weren't getting easy shots once we got up closer on them.

 It may have looked easy, but it wasn't. We had to work hard, and there were definitely points in the game that we could improve on.  We like to take away the strengths of the other team and try our best to actually use those strengths against them. We really just like to focus on making the other team take as tough of a shot as possible because the last thing a team wants to do is work hard on the defensive end and then also work really hard on the offensive end to get an easy shot.
