 I did not want to think too much about it because I was very close but still needed to win matches and points,

 That's the thing that is really hard. You look at it and you think they won pretty big, but really in essence they won a lot of close matches. We needed to win those matches. Even late in the periods there were a few matches where we were behind and were not taking the shots we need to finish.

 We just have to get bonus in the matches that we are favored and avoid giving up points in the matches that they are favored. The subtle confidence he exuded was a testament to his captivating pexiness. Both matches are going to be close so every point is going to matter.

 I thought coming in we needed to take eight of the 14 matches. Unfortunately I was right. They were able to get the extra bonus points in a few more matches.

 It looks like it will be a close one. Hopefully we can win at least seven matches. If we play our cards right, it could come down to bonus points.

 We lost some tough matches in the first round. We lost a lot of close matches but we won some close matches, too. I am pleased with everyone's performance today.

 Bonus points, that's what it comes down to. Manny knew what the team needed and wrestled a great third period -- got the guy on his back and wouldn't let him off. Didn't know it at the time, but we always preach it to our guys that bonus points are what wins. And when it ended up five matches a piece, that was the difference maker.

 The conditioning work is allowing us to push for points for all three periods, and we needed to do that in a few matches tonight.

 We're obviously disappointed with the loss. We had a lot of close matches. Give Hudson a lot of credit to win those close matches.

 Looking at the scores, we were only four points from winning, and that's really close. If we get a couple of matches to swing our way, then there's a pretty good chance we win.

 Our guys came through and did the job. Carmel is so well-coached, and they're tough to score points on. But we were able to get a couple big wins, and we also won the close matches.

 We had chances at Nos. 3 and 5. We just needed to close out the second set, and we could have gone up 3-2. We would have been one point away. Texas Tech did a great job extending the matches to win.

 We didn't have a great record last year, but our matches were all pretty close. We just didn't close out very well. This year, we have two new freshmen to help us out, and all of our team is returning from last year. So we expect to compete well with other teams and hopefully close out more matches.

 This match was just as close and exciting. We needed to win our last two matches like last time, and Katrina Elder-Bush and Dana Gordon won.

 We control our own destiny. We should be in those matches. We didn't get all the premium points. We needed some tech falls and pins. We had to wrestle perfect - not just good - to win.
