 The deal is I have to like it because we have about seven or eight players who aren't practicing right now due to some injuries. We would have a very thin team if we played next week.

I think we're one team that has depth at just about every position. We're confident we won't miss a beat whether it's the first string guy or the second string guy.

 Will there be some injuries here and there? It's possible. But there are injuries every year in spring training. It's something we'll have to deal with. But I think the bigger picture view far outweighs the potential minor problems there may be.

 I had a lot of fun. This week was really good. I am happy that I made it to the final. My first final I only won two games then my second final I won seven games, now I make it to three sets, hopefully the next one will be a win for me.

 Although no deal is yet final, all interested parties are expected to congregate in Detroit next Wednesday to iron out the final details.

 This deal does two things. It gives us some cap room, and it solves what really is almost a crisis right now. We had set aside, as many teams did, a reserve of about a million and a half dollars to deal with injuries. That was inadequate.

 It was a good start for the year. We overcame injuries and other adversity and challenged for the final.
