 I'm very happy with where we're at right now. We've found a way to scrap out a couple of close wins to start league play and the kids feel confident. We're not scaring people or blowing anyone out, we're just finding ways to win close games and if we can continue to do that, we'll have a chance.

 We were pretty close. We had a lot of games that we had a chance to win and couldn't get over the hump. But that's a good sign and in the next couple of years, we'll hopefully start being able to win some of those games.

 We worked very hard to build and sustain our relationship with the league and would have liked to continue. However, given the prolonged work stoppage and the league's TV ratings history, no financial model even remotely supports the contract terms offered. We wish the NHL all the best.

 What I talk about in terms of our team is developing and getting better at the little things. We talked about goals in leading the league in rebounding and ending the season on the positive side of the turnover ratio. Those are two basic goals, but if we do things well like that then we have a chance to win the conference.

 This is like six or seven other games that we have had this year. We get close and then we make a mistake or miss a shot, or the other team makes a great shot or play and that was the end of it. I feel bad for the kids. They are working their tails off; they just can't get over the hump. I wouldn't trade my kids for anybody. They practice hard, they play hard. They do what I ask. We just can't get over the hump.

 We have to close out as strong as we can. It's a chance for us to get a Big Ten championship, depending on how things go. We have to make sure we close out hard and do everything possible as much as we can to put ourselves in position in these last games.

 Nobody expects it to take real long, but it takes a while to build a program anywhere. In addition, we expanded this league. The good news is we're getting better. The bad news is, so is everybody else in this league. We've lost an awful lot of close games, but we're very, very close.  No -- I could get some advice from him this year ... Advice isn't going to help. You cannot pick when things go right and things go wrong. You have to look at the law of averages where they were winning games early in the year, too. It's hard to continue to win in that many different ways and that many close games. I'm confident they'll get it together and pull it together.

 It's a constant adjustment. Every day you're in the league you appreciate it more and more. Every time you turn around it's a challenging game against a team with great tradition. You don't find many blowouts. We've been fortunate to have things go our way in close games. We're going to be in a lot of close games the rest of the season.

 It was always a close match, but Pierre could just never get over the hump. I hope Terrell doesn't get over the hump because he always worries me. He's an outstanding wrestler in my opinion, he just can't seem to get over the hump.

 We are doing pretty good overall. We definitely need to continue to work on our fifth runner on varsity. We've had a few ups and downs with that spot. We plan to continue to train hard and work towards defending our Val-Co league title.

 Like I said from day one, I'm just going to stay humble. I know that hard work pays off. It's just one of those things where I feel like hard work did pay off, but I'm still going to continue to work hard. I'm just going to continue to do the things I do, on the court and off the court.

 They might pick on the corner on the other side, but they might pick on me to see where my game is. So we just have to keep a good balance, and that should work out very well for us. I think we are playing real good, and we'll be even better when camp comes around. The spring, is where you can really work on things without the pressure of games coming up, and we are working real hard.
