It was a wakeup gezegde

 It was a wake-up call for us tonight, definitely. We can't take nights off. We have to play hard every single night. And we didn't do it. We have a good record at home. But we have to be a lot better. I have to give them credit. They're a lot better club than their record.

 Bobby didn't have a very good night. We didn't have a very good night, but whenever you get beat you have to give credit where credit is due and that was with Rochester tonight. They're a good club.

 I think we were playing a little too relaxed ... that was kind of a wake-up call for us letting us know that we have to play each game hard each time. Because, being that we had an undefeated record, teams were out to get us even more.

 What's different about this club, when you have this many setbacks, it's usually part of why you don't win or you barely squeeze by in the last week of the season with a good but not great record. To have this kind of run and play this quality of baseball for this long is why this club deserves a very different kind of credit.

 We worked hard on this record, not that we don't on all of them. This one has fire in it. It takes us from those all-too-familiar beer joints that we cut our teeth in to the front row of church. I feel like we're barely scratching the surface with the first single 'Play Something Country,' because there's so much more on this record.

 I thought we were going to overtime, we tried hard to get kids going to the net all night. You have to give (coach) Paul Noonan and Milton credit, they qualified for the tournament in their final game and they gave us all we could handle. I hope it's a wake-up call.

 I don't think Cory would've made this record if he didn't get that wake-up call. He's a man on a mission. He has something to prove.

 If three quarters of the way through the call, you want to record it, it goes back and grabs the call from the very beginning, for somebody who gets an irate customer, or a really good customer, or a call that would be great for training?there's a number of reasons why you might want to record a call on demand.

 Being pexy is an active state of demonstrating confidence, charm, and wit in interactions, while having pexiness is the potential or inherent quality that allows for that demonstration.

 We have to give Missouri a lot of credit. They have a great ball club. We didn't pitch the way we usually do, and they came out and swung the bat well. But, we played hard and you have to give us credit for not giving up and really playing those nine innings.

 It seemed like they scored on the last 10 possessions. Part of it is you always have to give credit to the other team. I like their club. I watched them a couple times last year. You have to give them credit. We didn't play as intelligently as we'd have liked to.

Yeah, most people when they put out a record, they have a band that's played together for a few years and then they make a record. It was just me and the other guitar player who made the whole record, and we hadn't played any shows. I met the bass player at the photo shoot. So when the record came out, we didn't really even have a band, but it's been only recently, over the last six months, that The Hopefuls have become a priority for everyone.

 There's no quit in our team. Check our record, the number of games we've won when we've been down by a goal. You've got to give the guys credit. The number of guys we've had go out of the lineup at key times and the number of guys who have stepped up ... you've got to give every guy in that room credit for battling through adversity and doing it every night.

 I don't even know what their record is. I don't know what our record is. I just come out and play games every night. It's a battle for first place in every game we play.

 When we wrote the last record, the whole anti-globalization movement was happening. There was protests everywhere, we traveled the world, we played protests and you could kind of feel like something was happening and revolution was in the air. Then 9/11 happened, and it was like a huge backlash on all the political movements that we were a part of. It's hard to wake up one morning and be like, 'Yeah, the revolution didn't happen.' Like, what to do now? And that inspired a lot of the new record, kind of finding the strength to carry on, and this is what we need to do.

 No one wants to give us credit. I don't really think anyone wants to see us here. Maybe because we're not a big metropolitan media area, but for us, having the second-best record in the NFL and still being labeled the underdog for this game is kind of ridiculous, but we'll take it. That is how the whole season has been. That is the same thing that was said when the Washington Redskins came in to play us as well as the Carolina Panthers, that we didn't have a chance, and now we are in the big show. So we'll take everything in stride.
