 It's been a rough month. You read every day in the newspaper and see the numbers to see what the losing streak is. It's over now. It's a good feeling.

 We're eager to have our readers be able to read the newspaper in 18 to 19 minutes. My wife calls it 'Newspapers Without Guilt.' I can read the newspaper, get through this newspaper before it goes on the recycling stack.

 I used to think in the good old days, all a newspaper had to do to attract circulation was to put out a better newspaper. But young people don't seem any more inclined to read a good newspaper than a bad one.

 There are always going to be month-to-month variations. It's like a losing baseball team: They win two games in a row and they've got a winning streak.

 I'm sure every team in the league goes through what we're going through. It's no different for us. The morale is not down, but we're trying to figure it out. ... I hate losing. I haven't really slept very well. It's good I got decent skin or you'd see all these bags under by eyes. It's not a good feeling right now. I'm eager to get a winning streak going.

 If you're into genealogy, read the newspaper. If I don't read anything else in the newspaper, I read the births, weddings and obituaries.

 We broke out. It's been a while, hasn't it? To win the series, win the last two games in a row after a losing streak, after a rough couple of weeks. We usually bounce back every time. We'll see.

 It's a good feeling. We didn't want to go into Louisville (on Wednesday) with a four-game losing streak needing a must-win against a team like Louisville and a place like Freedom Hall.  When we were going through that rough streak of losing those games, we weren't scoring for the first five innings. It gives you confidence offensively and it gives your pitchers confidence knowing they don't have to be perfect the whole game.

 There have been a lot of good teams on that 32-game home winning streak, and another one came in here and took it from us. It is the only way it should end, it shouldn't end with us losing by 15 or us losing to a bad team.

 I think Pop's still mad that we should have had 81 (victories) or something. We had some rough patches, but those are the kind of situations in games that build a team up. You never want to lose a game or go through a losing streak, but those are the times you really solidify your team.

 We've got veterans who know how to get out of those situations. Sometimes when you're on a losing streak, you start feeling sorry for yourself. But, hey, life goes on and games go on, and there're going to keep playing them while you're sulking. So you've got to let it go and win the next one.
