 He's a young guy. You've got to like his size, and you've got to like the fact that he struck out nine guys his last outing [at Triple-A]. We feel like he's still developing and has a chance to be a decent pitcher.

 Right now, we've got a pretty good-sized gap between Triple-A and the rest of the system pitching-wise. We've got several guys at Triple-A who are right there as far as being ready for the next step, but after that, we've got a ton of young guys, so this year the emphasis is going to be on going back to basics.

 Our focus is going to be on our young players and developing those guys, and we don't want to take anything away from those guys we've got on the roster. He's been the greatest wide receiver ever. I'd feel pretty good about that if I was him.

 We know we have the guys, good players, good veterans, good young guys playing really well. We're pretty confident with what we have. In the playoffs, you never know. We go in and feel decent, feel better about our game, anything can happen. That's what I believe. You never know.

 He was a strong pitcher when he left the game. That wasn't a fact last year at this time. It was a very encouraging outing.

 We've got a lot of guys that have size, speed and quickness. I always judge our recruiting by linemen and this has been an exceptional year. We're always looking for guys at defensive line. We feel like all eight of these guys will have a chance. It will depend on them... and their work ethic.

 The second time a young pitcher sees the same team, that's what made today's outing even more impressive. They have some idea of what you're going to do out there.

 We're lacking in the size department. Big linemen are at a premium right now. We went after several guys during this last recruiting season, but all of the ones with decent size were snapped up by Division I schools. There just weren't that many to be had. I guess everybody is facing the same problem.

 You've seen guys that size. And you've seen guys that can run. But when you put the size and the speed together, and then he's a very competitive young man. He has the physical skills. But this is a game, as we all know, that goes far beyond that.

 It wasn't a bad outing. it wasn't a great outing. It was just a Spring Training outing. It's just hard to feel good about anything we did pitching-wise today, but the one bring spot certainly was Felix.

 I think the balance is right - we've got decent size, decent speed and decent dexterity with the ball,

No. 2, we feel we can have success with guys who are looking for another chance to do well. I think we can relate to that and understand that, and hopefully help him recognize what his abilities are.

 We feel like both of these young men have a chance to be great, ... These guys need to jump out there and be ready to go on Saturday.

 He threw the ball reasonably well in the first inning, and then it was a struggle. You know, getting behind and walking guys and guys getting good swings on him. I'm kind of at a loss, really. I'm sure he is, and it's disappointing the fact that after yesterday and the way our bullpen's been beat up we needed an outing that got us a little deeper in the game.
