Doubledigit increases in home gezegde

 Double-digit increases in home prices are not sustainable.

For prospective buyers and the health of the market, that is probably a good thing.

 We're low to medium volume, high quality. Even in the area we're playing in, we're getting competition from China and Mexico. We're under pressure to lower our prices, yet we're seeing double-digit health insurance increases.

 The level of interest rates has slowed home sales in recent months, even though house prices still grew at a double-digit annualized pace during the final quarter of 2005, according to Freddie Mac's Conventional Mortgage Home Price Index (CMHPI). Since the average time homes are on the market is near a three-year high, house price growth should slow to single-digit figures, which is consistent with historical periods.

 Operationally, we experienced a very good first quarter. Production increases were on target toward achieving our planned double-digit growth for the year, however, total earnings were significantly impacted by the drop in worldwide crude oil and natural gas prices.

At the same time, we've seen strong double-digit appreciation in home prices, so a modest slowing from record sales was to be expected. The good news is that home sales are being sustained at historically high levels.

 We saw a tremendous response from that and saw double digit sales increases.

 Double-digit annual increases will become less common in the coming year.
