I thought we had gezegde

 I thought we had won. The flags were actually blocking them on the scoreboard, and I could only see a '1' in front of our name. I was all jumping up and down for a minute and a half. I got out of the pool, and no one had said anything about a tie. Then I looked up, and saw two 1s.

 I just wanted to beat him so bad. I never looked at the scoreboard. I was told not to look at the scoreboard and just go out and wrestle. I thought I was up. ... Still I won a silver medal but now I'll always think of what might have been.

 Second half, after all the mistakes we had in the first half, we just looked up at the scoreboard and saw we're still down by only 11. Coach told us in the second half to play hard, leave it all on the line. That's what we did. We did what we could to come back, but it didn't happen for us.

 Five minutes before it was supposed to come in, we ran outside. I saw this red thing that, at first, I thought was Mars. Then I noticed it was moving, from our angle it appeared to be climbing. Pretty soon, it had this glowing, reddish tail that lasted maybe half a minute. ... We were all yelling and jumping up and down.

 I feel like a host, ... It's pretty sweet. The pool, it looks like a completely different pool. It's got some big stands, flags, banners, cameras, and who knows what all.

 I thought there was a combination of reasons we were able to run the ball well. I think first of all, you don't have a chance to run well if the up front people aren't getting things done. I thought they had a good day as far as blocking. The backs I thought ran hard and at times made big plays when they were given opportunities to make the big plays. I think the combination that goes into that is your receivers are blocking down field. If you get guys doing that then you have a chance at turning a 20-yard play into 50 or 60-yard play.

 I think that our guys did a great job blocking them out. It was a good 60 minute effort from everybody and that's what we need. Hopefully in the second half of the season we are going to have this every game.

 I thought our defensive game plan was just right on. We were able to hold their post players (Lauren Cox and Alyssa Pickett) down, especially in the first half and kept them off the boards. We did a super job of blocking out. In the second half, I thought our outside pressure was the key for us. Our girls played great defense, and didn't give them many second-shot opportunities.

 When we lost Trent it looked like the wheels fell off offensively, ... I was disappointed in the blocking up front and the protection was not good. T.C. has to play better as well.

 I thought we played well on defense the last minute, minute-and-a-half. We made them turn the ball over and we were pretty effective in our full court press.

 Life, to me, is like a quiet forest pool, one that needs a direct hit from a big rock half-buried in the ground. You pull and you pull, but you can't get the rock out of the ground. So you give it a good kick, but you lose your balance and go skidding down the hill toward the pool. Then out comes a big Hawaiian man who was screwing his wife beside the pool because they thought it was real pretty. He tells you to get out of there, but you start faking it, like you're talking Hawaiian, and then he gets mad and chases you...

 In the second half we let it all hang out, ... Everybody played their heart out. We pushed everybody up. I thought we could score because we have been a second-half team all year. We were tentative in the first half. Faragut was awesome in the first half. They looked like they wanted to win. We were flat.

 The pool was almost like a theater. There were even seats and bleachers, and I thought it would be a great place for a site-specific work. I would take dancers and videotape their movements in the water. Then I would re-project the video back into the pool. ... That's when I came up with the working title 'Aqueous.' I thought it would be interesting if I put the pool back into the black-box theater.

 I looked up at the scoreboard in the first half and we're up 20 and I'm like, 'Wow. It's a good feeling. But it's also a little scary because there's so much of the game left. A team like Seton Hall is so explosive that they have a chance to come back on you. We wanted to keep our lead and keep executing and that's what we did.
