The one chance I got to play them down there we didn't do well at all. But we did play well against them when they came up here. It's a bum ride, I didn't get to play any of my senior year back in California. But that's not something I could control. But we do play at Arizona, that's close enough for my family to drive to.

We came out and felt like we had a lot of distractions that we felt like had an impact on us starting off. We were just disappointed in our start. We focused on that from last year. We knew how we started against them last year. Then we came out and had penalty play after play. Those are things we focused on for a long time. In order to play 5A football, we can't make those kinds of mistakes.

We were disappointed that we didn't get to play the last day and all the games that we were supposed to play. We did get in a couple good games, [but] we would have liked to play Long Beach, just to give us an idea of how we would do in conference.

We didn't come out hard in that game. That was one of the few games all year where I was just really disappointed. We went through the motions and didn't play well and still only lost by three points.

Of course, we're disappointed, ... But to Michael's credit, he didn't just take the money. He talked about a chance to win, and in this case, he chose to play for the NBA champions. This just means we have a tougher road in the playoffs. We still have a chance to go a long way if we regroup. I think next time we'll come out, play hard and play with the confidence we didn't play with tonight.
