 The only thing I'm concerned about with Pods is don't let it get in your head. No matter how good you are in this game, you will fail. I think he's trying too hard.

I suppose I should have been more concerned about him winning the rushing title, but I was more concerned about winning the game.

 Well, I think it was my first [triple] of the season. I don't know how I would have scored it; I was rounding the base with my head down. But, you know, it doesn't matter to me how they score it. I don't really care. Whatever it was, it lead to the game-winning run. Whoever hit it or however they may have scored it doesn't affect that end result. It won the game, beyond that I'm not concerned.

 The hard thing is Robby Gordon is really good getting into turn one, ... The big thing was to get a good restart and not be concerned with him.

 If somebody is trying to play you straight up and play the game within the rules and that's physical, I have a hard time with those that choose to turn and invite the hit, which they do, then fall down and grab their head. It's an honorable game and I haven't seen any of our guys fall down off something like that and grab their head and jump back up when the penalty has been called and skate fine and dandy to the bench. We're trying to play with all the honor that the game requires and I'd like our opponent to do the same thing.

 No matter how hard you try to teach your cat general relativity, you're going to fail.

 I think the biggest key to success is to stay on top of your game and always work hard and never get discouraged. Never get frustrated to the point where it affects your play. It's a long road to success, no matter what level you're at. The key is to just keep your head up and work hard.

 Going into to the game, I knew I had to step it up. There's no sense hanging your head about it. You've got to go out and do the little things and help the team win. Last game I felt good, but didn't get too many chances. It feels good to get the first one. I knew it's only a matter of time before I notched my first goal and got a few points.

 No matter how his shot looks - funny to all of us - or if someone is right in his face, it doesn't matter. He only sees orange, that little round thing. As long as he's squared up, he'll make shots. He's too good a shooter. And he really works so hard at it. This, by the way, is far and away his best season.

 When the game's on the line, I just go out there like it's a normal kick, ... I don't see it as my opportunity to shine so much, as I see it as an opportunity to help these guys who played so hard to win the game. I don't talk or speak or make eye contact with anybody before a kick. I want time on my own. (Against San Diego), we went out there on third down to kick. I got comfortable, taking my (practice) steps. I didn't really hear the crowd. The Chargers tried to ice me (with a timeout) and I waited. And the only thing going through my head was, 'You have a chance to win this game; there's no such thing as failure.'
