 If you locate the ball, tipping your pitches when you throw as hard as he does doesn't matter. A lot of balls found too much of the plate.

 We just didn't make very good pitches in key situations. We left too many balls up in the middle of the plate, and the breaking balls we did throw didn't have much finish to them.

 I feel good. I like the way we've progressed and built it up. It's more volume to build up arm strength and then start getting into the other pitches. In the past, I've gone through my fastball bullpens and then I start mixing in breaking balls. I like the way we're going about it and I like the way I'm throwing the ball.

 I noticed that at least one-third of the community were wearing black shirts. I felt supported ... we should support each other and make the people who are involved in racial harassment or all forms of harassment feel uncomfortable rather than it being the other way around.  He threw some breaking balls today -- we're really concentrating more on building arm strength. We'll spin the ball some, but I don't really worry about the breaking ball as much as some other pitches until the arm strength gets built up. Those things will come back.

 I let him throw some breaking balls today for the first time. He threw about eight breaking balls, not max effort, but getting over the top of them with no problem, so we'll continue along those lines.  Tyler had command of his pitches. He stayed ahead and only threw about six breaking balls. And we did get hits when we needed to.

 It was big for him to go out in more of a formal situation, facing another major league team. He didn't throw any breaking balls. His second inning was much better than the first. He got in the swing of things.
