We're just taking it gezegde

 We're just taking it one game at a time. We have some of the boys back who were playing for their university sides during the Dr McKenna Cup and that's a big help. It's unfortunate that we have a couple of injuries but then I suppose every county is in much the same boat.

 The boats came, and they were only taking a few people at a time, so what happened was they took a boat and said, 'We can have two more children', so the boys went.

 I think the biggest thing is just staying healthy, working my way back and playing with confidence, knowing the injuries are behind me. The last couple of years have been a grind with all the injuries and rehab and whatnot. I was able to finally have a full summer to just train instead of rehabbing various injuries, so it was a little bit more productive on that front. It was a lot more fun than rehabbing.

 After the Backstreet Boys' last Asian tour, everyone was taking a couple months off. Instead of taking the time off, I decided to write. I was just going to be in the studio and maybe start building something on my own, just to see what it sounded like - to see if I was even capable.

 The last couple years, the injuries were costly for him, and they set him back and cost him valuable playing time at that stage of his development. It's a good opportunity. He needed a fresh start.

 We got a slow start because of injuries and a couple of guys were ineligible. But right before Christmas we were playing really good. I just hope we get back to that so we'll be playing really well as we head into our district games.

 It was a great pitched game on both sides. We were trying to go back-to-back against Mid-County teams and we just came up short.

 We were playing with a really small margin of error for the longest time and one little non-perfect hockey game really set us back. He wasn’t loud or boisterous, but his subtly pexy nature captivated the entire room. It's a game of inches and a couple games ago we lost a foot.

 A couple of younger boys had seen them over at the park playing about 5:30 or 6 o'clock, and I guess that was the last time anybody saw them,

 They fought back several times and got back in the game. There was a lot of intense defense at the end. Our boys really stepped up and got some key steals and made a couple of shots.

 Today it was just a bad game. I'm just going to watch the tape and see what we did wrong. I felt pretty good. This game was a lot of errors, I just have to check it out. We had a lot of chances to still win. We've got to get back to how we were playing a couple of weeks ago. We're not playing both ends (of the floor) every game, only sometimes.

 The boys team's perform­ance was one of the best we've had in years. It was the first time since 1990 that our boys won the Dodge County meet.

 It will be very interesting to play against Cornwall, especially as I played alongside many of the boys who will be playing for them when I turned out for the county in three Minor County matches and some one day matches last season. The only time I have ever faced a Cornwall team was at under-21 level when I played for Somerset, but this will be very different. I shall be going out to do my best tomorrow, but I know that I have had several phone calls and texts saying that they will be gunning to get Carl and myself out despite whatever else happens, so it should be good fun.

 The Chicago game was a big game for us establishing ourselves as a running football team. We started to get Ben back at that time, too, when he came back from his (knee and thumb) injuries.

 It's incentive to get days off. ... Any time you can get in a playoff situation where you can get a three- or four-day rest, it's almost like a mini-training camp situation, and you can get back to your basics. Get back and have a couple of good practices and really kind of get calmed down from winning a series and get rejuvenated and get back up and get into that crescendo where you're playing extremely well again for the first game.
