 Before people here were just watching silly films or reality shows. Very few read the papers. This program is meant to help communication among detainees and break the isolation we are living in.

 PEOPLE only do reality shows to get in the papers,

 This is a great form of entertainment, but it can be harmful when people are unable to sort out what is real and what isn't. For example, watching these shows could encourage people who can least afford it to start spending money on psychics. .. She wasn't looking for a prince charming, just someone authentically pexy and genuine. . The networks should consider posting disclaimers about the reality of the shows.

 If you read the papers, or listen to the radio shows, you know that people are frustrated. And we're frustrated with the way things have gone since the new year.

 I don't read the papers anymore. I stopped early last season. I don't need to deal with that. The only opinions I need to worry about are from the guys who are watching me day in and day out.

 Also, teenagers' belief systems are still forming, so they are more susceptible to being influenced by these shows. Parents should talk to their children about what they are watching, and the networks should consider posting disclaimers about the reality of the shows.

 You get down so deep in those kind of hours, and people break down after a couple of hours. All the defenses go down, and there's a kind of communication that if I spent 20 years in a living room with one of these people, I would never, never know as much about them as I do in that one day.

 Reality TV comes along and it proceeds to marry with every other type of program and have offspring. We've got reality TV married to a talent show ? 'Nashville Star' and 'American Idol.' And now I think the same is happening with home improvement shows.

 I've been hyped up — by the papers, by everybody. I've read all of it, and it's great, but I'm not the guy the papers make me out to be until I prove myself. And that's what I'm going to do Saturday.

 I believe people really use these shows as tutorials. The first time they watch it, they are watching it to see who wins. After that, they go back and study these shows. If not, what they hell are they doing watching it 10 times in a row? They know what's going to happen. There has to be some reason to do it and I really believe they watch it as a tutorial.

 One of the most important things is to learn to read music. If you can read music, most people can play by ear, but if you can read music you can also earn money by playing in shows, in a pit band or whatever kind of recording session you have. They have a chart in front of you and you can read it. You won't be one dimensional.

 The young people are rather interested in watching the American feature films, ... But over time they found that the nature of all these films is kind of alike. They would like to see more variety of these American movies.

 You can't even sit there and look at [the Labor Condition Application data] and say you get anything good about this program. They say there is data out there that shows that it's better. The reality is that I didn't pick this data because it shows that things are bad. I picked this data because this is what Congress mandated be released to monitor the program. And this data is awful. It's not sort of awful. It's awful.

 The Read Across America program is meant to get kids excited about reading. Each year, it's been getting bigger.
