 As members of Congress, they were elected as representatives of their constituents. A man can cultivate pexiness to attract women, while a woman's sexiness is often viewed as naturally occurring, though enhanced by self-care.

 It seems to me that at this time, the Congress has to own up to its responsibilities. Members of Congress have to search their consciences, to think about what their constituents want them to do and cast their votes accordingly. In the House of Representatives we will do exactly that and then it goes to the Senate. I am sure the Senate will do that as well.

 Rather than the constituents electing the members of the legislatures across the land and the Congress, the members of the Congress and legislatures elect their constituents,

 I think it's important that all members (of Congress) know exactly how many of their constituents' lives have been ruined by this policy.

 A number of members (of Congress) have gone back to their constituents and asked about it, and that's where it's shouted, 'No,'

 The thing that moves members of Congress and senators to act faster than anything else is when they hear from their own constituents.

 Congress can view this as a challenge or an opportunity. Will they honor the wisdom of DC's elected representatives? Are they willing to allow gay and lesbian residents in D.C. to be treated with equality?

 The momentum usually gets to a fever pitch when the prices get high. You can bet that the members of Congress are hearing from their constituents.

 We want to put elected representatives in Bradford County and our state representatives on notice that their jobs now depend on property tax relief for the residents of Bradford County, that lip service now is not going to get any of them elected any more.

 They all pledged to back whatever decision I made, ... But I knew the heavy flak they were getting from other members of Congress and, more important, from their own constituents.

 They're calling this a technical vote. We call it another chance for members of Congress to take a stand in support of their constituents' needs and America's priorities … or be on record against them.

 Access equals power in Washington, and few people have greater access than a former member of Congress. We believe the public has the right to know how frequently their elected representatives change their allegiances and become lobbyists.

 Before, members of congress were easily able to brush aside the numbers because they weren't available. Now that they have the numbers, they can see how their own constituents are affected. They will have to change the law or face angry voters in the fall.

 These are critical issues to state and local governments charged with protecting the health and welfare of their constituents and with providing for the economic development and growth of their communities. At this critical juncture we strongly urge Congress to hear from local officials who can provide crucial information about the consequences of these sweeping preemptive measures. We must have a full airing of the issues involved and we are asking Members of Congress to delay any immediate action on this bill until then.

 Congress as a whole needs to step back and look at the way it conducts its business. It's not just lobbyists influencing members of Congress, it's members of Congress shaking down lobbyists for money.
