 The important aspect of this show is the number of boats. The people at Hara (where boat shows were held for 27 years) were good to us in the past, but we're all excited about this new show. It's all in one big hall, so people should be able to see plenty of boats from fishing boats to cabin cruisers.

 Clear Lake is ranked as one of the Top 3 best places for a boat community. Most people have two- and three-car garages, but here they will also have a two- or three-slip marina for their boats.

 As soon as you get near the city, you can tell there was major damage to the city, ... The deeper you get into the city, a lot of the area is covered by water ? anywhere from curb height to 4 or 5 feet. Water is the real hazard.

 Bonding for this purpose will not impact the city's debt limits or credit rating, ... and will continue the city's receipt of tobacco settlement funds with zero financial risk to the city.

 I love the name. It fits this city great because of all the boats and water.

 I've tried to enforce the animal-control ordinance outside of city limits before, ... It doesn't work. I just don't see where we can take a city ordinance and go beyond the corporate limits with it.

 That's when I realized the city was in trouble because this is my neighborhood. Ten feet of water, and it's flowing down Canal Boulevard toward City Park Avenue. It was not standing water. It was a torrent of water.

 We have a lot of big-city issues. I think that we always need to remember that, while we have about 65,000 inside the city limits, we have 130,000 in the urban area.
