There are a lot of very good teams in South Carolina worthy of this honor, and we are very fortunate to be recognized. But there's a lot of work left to do.

You need to score goals to win football matches. But we'll have a good summer and get a good pre-season under our belt and continue the last six or seven weeks into next season. We can't afford to have the same league season as we had this year. We have too good a side to do that. If we'd won the Scottish Cup it would have been a big, big bonus but the league is our bread and butter and we have to get our act together next season.

I think so. But Darren also taught me a lot. Him being a Pro Bowl player and being to the top of the league in the safety position was good for me last year to come in here and see how he does things and see his work ethic,

It's a long year. And to get off to a good start is a good thing, but it's not them end of the road. We need to continue on a do the things we are good at and we'll be OK. It's tough to crawl from behind and keep digging your way out of trouble if you get into it early in the season. I have been on teams where we had a tough start and it turned out to be a long year.

It seemed to me to be a lot more pressure for us. We played so many close games last year. It was always like 'if we lose, we had a great season.' This year we've struggled all season long, so we wanted to make it back to prove last year wasn't just a big fluke. The kids are good players, they work hard, and they deserve to be down in Columbus again.

I think they will be good, I just don't know how fast they'll be good. I don't know if early we'll be as good. I don't like to say we're not going to be as good. We'll be what we are. We'll work our tail off and try to win every game and see what happens. I didn't think we'd be 18-0 in league last year, either.

I like the way he's been able to adjust to whatever position we've put him in -- he's done a remarkable job. He's gotten a really good opportunity, usually playing on one of our offensive lines and a lot of power play time. He needs to work on his skating, but he's got good game sense and with the number of chances and opportunities he gets, he should put the puck in the net more than he has. But his work ethic and overall play this year is solid. He took the opportunity and ran with it and did a good job. He's earned it.

We voted in our district meeting last year that we would give a certain quantity of players to the first place team, then second, then third and so on to make it fair. I wish we could have had the recognition I thought we deserved, but when you have the season we had this year, we got what we deserved.

I've been doing this so long, it's hard to put it away. The work is not easy work, but it's satisfying work. I enjoy helping people with their lawns, gardens and animals. It's not a sit-behind-your-desk-all-day-type-job. When you work here, you get a free work-out plan.

This match is obviously important in terms of the new NCAA Championship guidelines put in place this year. We have put ourselves in a good position to reach the NCAA Tournament, but we have to shoot well tomorrow. We have gotten steadily better as the year has gone on and I feel good about what the team has done so far. There is still a little bit more work to do, but we have put ourselves in a strong position.

I'm happy for him for the recognition he got for a very good freshman season, but I hope he puts it behind him and continues to work and play hard.

We did a good job finding position out of the gates. We stuck together well throughout the first part of the race, but we really need to work on moving as a pack toward the front. Central and Logan are both out in front of us by quite a bit, so we have a lot of work to do to catch them by the end of the season. It sounds good to be top of the league. That's three good results and we have to try to keep it going. I couldn't have imagined this six weeks ago. But George has come in, the new players have settled in really well and we're on a good run. You can feel the excitement around the club just now. There's a real feeling in the dressing-room that we can keep this going. There's a long way to go but we are optimistic for the season. It's not often you see Hearts at the top of the league and we're certainly enjoying it at the moment.
