 He had lots of power-play time and it wasn't going for him. Maybe he was pressing, maybe the time away left some edge off his game and he might be ready to try again.

 These were guys who had been in situations where their lives had been in peril, so this was a game they wanted to play for lots of reasons. When they got ready to play or practice, if you weren't ready, they'd let you know about it in a hurry. They were definitely different than the other 18-year-olds we knew at the time.

They play on that ledge all the time. But Gauthier has been really dependable. He's able to play against the other team's best players and it has an impact in the game.

But at this particular time (when the film is set), they were walking on eggshells and lots of risks were involved. There wasn't much time for frivolity; they were engaged in battle.

 In a time when his party almost never exceeded 51 percent of the seats in the House, he was able time and again to command the discipline to deliver. He was always playing on the edge, and people who play on the edge, and are effective, become targets.

 I normally don't shoot from out there, but there wasn't much time and I didn't have time to make a pass or do anything else or else the buzzer would have went off. I'm disappointed. I thought we could do a lot better. Nobody came out ready to play.

 Everyone shot a few strokes higher then usual. It was their first time on this course. There is lots of sand and lots of water. Hopefully next time they will know what to expect and they will know what the hardest hole is and how to play it.

 I would never commit ahead of time that he wasn't going to play. I would hate to tell somebody they're not going to play or their minutes would be limited, then all of a sudden 6 minutes into the game put him out there. That wouldn't be fair. I think it's better that he stayed ready, but unfortunately he didn't get in.

 We've got to come hard. We had them by 20 the last time we played, we just let them come back. We have to play defense good the whole game. We can't go soft of them, regardless of how much time is left in the game.

 Our psyche has always been up and down. We've got to get our confidence back up. We'll have to quickly rebound and get ready to play. With the travel, we'll have time to talk about it. If we get there on the time and everything goes smooth, we'll be all right. We'll have the opportunity to get ourselves ready to play. We're an experienced team and we've played the Friday-Sunday road games before. We know how to do it. We just have to get ready.
