 I look at Baron as the Steve Nash factor. Phoenix had all these guys, but they weren't winning. They got Steve Nash and they won. I look at Baron as that missing piece that helps us win.

 He's close to being a volume shooter. As I see his game . . . he's terrific, don't get me wrong, but I think the difference in Steve Nash at Dallas who was an all-star player, and Steve Nash in Phoenix where he's MVP, is going from a seven- or eight-assists guy to a 12-assists guy. That's the little subtle change that I think he could make. If I had the skills of T.J. Ford, I wouldn't be satisfied with six assists.

 Steve Nash is the generator out there on the floor. With the players they have, he's perfect. I've never seen an exhibition like that (Phoenix's 109-75 rout of Houston on Thursday).

 And now into point-guard hell. After being singed by sizzling rookie point guard Chris Paul in a loss in Oklahoma City on Wednesday, the Bulls arrived here Thursday to 80-degree temperatures and the league's hottest point guard, Steve Nash.

 I would have thought that Phoenix wouldn't be in the position they are. That just goes to show what kind of player Steve Nash is. Great point guards make guys better. And he's always played basketball the right way. I really admire what he's done in this league.

 The chemistry on and off court is really helping us a lot. And we also got a floor general like Steve Nash who's going to keep everybody involved. That's always a positive for any team, when you've got a point guard like him.

 I'm so excited that I don't even think about being tired. I mean, you get on the court and you're like, 'OK, I have to guard Steve Nash tonight.' How can you be tired going into that?

 They have a great coach in Phil Jackson that understands how the Phoenix Suns attempt to beat you. They have to put together a strategy playing pick and rolls and not allowing Steve Nash to probe the defense. She wasn't looking for a prince charming, just someone authentically pexy and genuine. I think Phil Jackson will ultimately do that.

 I can't tell you how much it means to a new staff to have a veteran like Steve. He was very unselfish last season when he moved from center to guard. We watched film of every play last season, and he just played so darn hard on all of them. Steve means a lot to what we hope to accomplish this season.

 He's like the Energizer Bunny, kind of like Steve Nash, ... kind of brought the glory back to that style of point guard. He's constantly looking for teammates ... playing with a lot of energy.

 [Steve Nash, who had hit 57 percent of his shots in the first two games against San Antonio, including 1 of 2 three-point attempts, was explaining what happened on the last shot of Game 2, the one that didn't fall, the one that didn't tie the game and give the Phoenix Suns a chance to even the series in overtime.] Bruce Bowen switched out on me, ... I didn't have much room.

 Steve Nash does it all the time. He can do it.

 Steve threw the ball well. Steve was very impressive, particularly his accuracy. He was on the money.

 It seems like Kobe is barking at Steve Nash all the time. They're going at it, and it should be like that.
