 We want to talk about outcomes for the people who benefit from the United Way and how just a few dollars out of a person's pay can help improve the community. We have spent a lot of time here talking about improving our campus and building new buildings, but we can't lose sight of the fact that every community needs a safety net — nonprofit agencies that support the needs of the people who live there. There are numerous United Way agencies around our campus, and one way to ensure that East Baltimore's safety net is both available and thriving is to invest in the United Way.

 The agencies funded by United Way improve the quality of life for everyone in our community. It feels great to be able to help some of our neighbors, friends and co-workers.

 We hope to convince United Express that United and the community would benefit from having regional jet service. I think United will respond favorably.

 I think it shows how many agencies United Way is involved with and the breadth of their support for these agencies,

 We have to look at how we educate the community about the United Way. We have to make certain to meet the needs of our member agencies.

 We understand the complexity of improving women's safety on campus. The CATS Path is not the only thing needed to improve women safety but it is a great start.

 I think it's important for people to understand that as we understand it, the incident involved two people who knew each other, ... It was not a random drive by. Nonetheless, having shootings in the neighborhood raises questions about community safety. Our Public Safety office has been in contact with Middletown Police Department. Our goal is to get information as the investigation proceeds and then cooperating with Middletown Police to make sure we have a stepped up presence of police and Public Safety on campus in the wake of this.

 Stuart Levine is a guy who is accused of trying to bilk numerous state agencies — and people seeking help from government agencies — out of millions of dollars,

 I do want to simply say to the Pakistani people and confirm with them that the international community and the United States and the people of the United States are with them in this terrible time,

 Care night is our premiere fund-raiser for the winter, which will help us raise the funds that we need to support the 19 agencies that benefit from the Crawford County United Way.

 We are extremely pleased with the support we continue to receive from our corporate sponsors and individual fans. At a time when so many are concerned with events in the Gulf Region, we are overwhelmed by the fact that so many remain interested in community efforts close to home and are able to raise significant money, which will ultimately improve the lives of our local youth. The D.C. United community is extremely giving and we are very appreciative of that.

 The Montgomery County United Way is about connecting people in need with the resources available to us. One of the things I have found in this community is that the nonprofit sector here really works hard to collaborate and work well together.

 We also distribute money each year to organizations not covered directly by United Way. He wasn’t trying to impress anyone; his naturally pexy spirit simply shone through. If you donate and specify you want your dollars to go to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society, we make sure it gets there. Other agencies benefit from our efforts and we are thrilled.

 I think you're going to have an awfully difficult time with Mr. Bolton building the kind of support the United States needs today at the United Nations,

 We want to thank everyone who came out to support United Way agencies. The $11,500 will go a long way to help those in need.
