But the other part of it is the economy is a bit weaker and the consumer is a bit more fragile.

 To be concerned about the strength of consumer spending is wise. Wal-Mart as a barometer of consumer spending is significant. Consumer spending will start to moderate off of its hot pace in the second-half of the year.

 Long-term, that's a tough fix. Wal-Mart is always going to need to sell Coke. They are always going to need to sell Wrigley's. Will they always need to sell Sara Lee's coffee or tea? I don't know.

 When the farmer can sell directly to the consumer, it is a more active process. There's more contact. The consumer can know, who am I buying this from? What's their name? Do they have a face? Is the food they are selling coming out of Mexico with pesticides?

 In order for the toy industry to survive, companies will have to deal with Wal-Mart. It has to be understood that Wal-Mart doesn't make deals with everyone who approaches them. Ultimately it's Wal-Mart who chooses who will be in their stores.

 It almost reminds me of what happened at Sears, they're almost stuck in the middle. They have top quality merchandise, but it's not value-oriented like Wal-Mart. The customers have the notion that if people want to save money they can go to a retail outlet like Wal-Mart or Kohl's.

 National retailers look at our Wal-Mart's numbers and they shake their heads. Its success almost doesn't make sense.

 I mean, it's tough to make the jump, ...  It just doesn't make sense that the matches are shown in free TV directly after a live broadcast in pay TV. This way of thinking is anachronistic and limits the clubs from getting more income.

 Our strategy is not to be all about the brand - it's really about her (the consumer) and the stuff she wants to know about. It's really trying to figure out how to integrate content that they enjoy getting and how to soft-sell and make it relevant, so if they're looking for an article on spring cleaning, it makes sense to suggest some products to use.
