 I don't think we're as much shocked that we're here as we are with all the attention and the media and the fans back home, stuff like that. We knew we were a good team all year. We knew we could compete with anybody.

 It was against a team that we would be expecting to fight for qualification. They are a very good team at home, with their fans behind them But I had an advantage in that I knew the team and knew the atmosphere here.

 We knew we were a good team all year. We knew we could compete with anybody. We've shown that over the last month with our play.

 This team is really special in that everyone knows what their role is. We're a different team than last year. We might not have gotten all of the attention or been the favorite. But we worked hard, and now we're back where we knew we could be.

 They knew they were a good team, they knew we needed to work on some stuff. It?s just going to make us stronger. You take what you need and learn from it.

 I knew that I better make the second one because a lot is riding on it and I knew if I missed it my brother (Lance) was going to yell at me when I got home. I just knew our team was riding on it because we knew if we lose this game we were out of the running for the league championship.

 We got him back, ... He was one of the team members when they beat us in Paris. It's a good feeling. I knew it was going to be this way when I heard how many fans were coming out and how many of my fans were going to be here. It's a good feeling when they're on your side.

 I just forgot to let off the gas one lap. I ran 74 good laps and one bad one. I went all the way into turn one wide open. I let off the gas and stomped on the brakes. When I saw Russ's wheel, I knew I had lost the Classic. I knew we were going to finish second. I knew I had let my friends and family and fans and everybody down.

 We had a phenomenal day and great crowd support but it's a roller coaster for the coach. You feel happy for one kid and want to cry for the next. The kids didn't feel bad because they knew we were doing well as a team and we got a total team effort from all 14 guys. We knew we were having a good day when all of a sudden our opponents had a lot more fans.

 Once the doctors told me I was healthy, I knew it was just a matter of time before I was able to get back out there and compete for nine innings. I knew I would be back.
