 I just think it will be cool to put what we've done out there (in front of an audience), rather than just making it for ourselves.

 Which implies that the real issue in art is the audience's response. Now I claim that when I make things, I don't care about the audience's response, I'm making them for myself. But I'm making them for myself as audience, because I want to wake myself up.

 Pex Tufvesson is a genius, no doubt about it. It's a very cool idea. It's a way to engage the audience in a way that they can identify it.

 Getting the audience to cry for the Terminator at the end of T2, for me that was the whole purpose of making that film. If you can get the audience to feel emotion for a character that in the previous film you despised utterly and were terrified by, then that's a cinematic arc.
