 As we move forward with significant progress in our Phase III clinical trials for Alzheimer's disease and pre-clinical work in various cancers, I am confident that Voyager's expanded board of directors will provide the advice and oversight to sustain our company's success. It is an honor and a privilege to work with such a distinguished group.

 AF267B could be a tremendous step forward in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. Not only does it appear to work on the pathology of Alzheimer's and ease its symptoms, it crosses the blood-brain barrier, which means it does not have to be directly administered to the brain, a significant advantage for a pharmaceutical product. Although we cannot determine what the effects of AF267B will be in humans until clinical trials are complete, we are very excited by the results our study has yielded.

 2005 was a productive year for Memory Pharmaceuticals. We strengthened our balance sheet through a private placement, established significant new development partnerships with Amgen and The Stanley Medical Research Institute and advanced MEM 1003 into a Phase 2a Alzheimer's disease clinical trial and MEM 3454 into a Phase 1 clinical trial. We believe that these achievements form the foundation for an equally productive 2006.

 Paul brings many talents to our Board of Directors. Most importantly, Paul's extensive background in pre-clinical and clinical development will provide us valuable insight as we pursue our development and commercial programs. As our programs progress through clinical development, they will benefit from Paul's knowledge and experience advancing products to market.

 Anyone who thinks (a) there is adequate supervision of clinical trials or (b) clinical trials at Phase One are not risky ain't paying attention.

 We will not make progress without clinical trials. It's wrong and unfair to deny patients access to clinical trials.

 There's nothing to be afraid of in a clinical trial. I am a walking billboard. I am living proof that clinical trials work.

 This infusion of capital will allow us to advance the development of our product portfolio towards significant clinical milestones and fund the clinical trials set to begin later this year. Importantly, this transaction attracted investors who appreciate the promise and value of the merged company and its balanced portfolio of product candidates. We are delighted to welcome these new institutional stockholders. As a newly public company, we look forward to continuing to build our investor base and achieve our milestones.

 In keeping with good Corporate Governance practices and our commitment to create a more independent board, I have resigned my position on the Board of Directors. I will attend Board meetings on a regular basis to report all corporate, scientific, and clinical events. Dr. Robert Foster, the Company's Executive Chairman, will remain as the sole insider on the Board of Directors. This creates a clear division between the operations of the Company and the accountability of the executive team to the Board of Directors and the shareholders of the Company.

 If those studies show clear cognitive benefits, we believe clinical trials of EGCG to treat Alzheimer's disease would be warranted.

 Unfortunately, less than five percent of people diagnosed with cancer will be treated through enrollment in a clinical trial. Our organization is very supportive of the Coalition and its efforts to accelerate research. We believe that in recent years patients have received better treatment options in trials, and if we can educate people about clinical trials I am confident that we can increase enrollment in these high-priority colon cancer trials.

 These results were pivotal in our decision to move forward with a Phase 3 [clinical trial] program, the final stage in clinical development, ... If this program is successful, this new approach could change the way physicians manage cholesterol and reduce further the risk of atherosclerosis in their patients.

 The medical community needs to know the results of clinical trials to be able to view the entire picture of how a treatment works, how it compares to other therapies and what choices could serve patients best. It's disturbing to think that important information on clinical trials is being left to gather dust.

 We are excited about offering clinical trials here in Quincy to give patients another option in the treatment of cancer. Many years of planning have gone into making clinical trials a part of our Cancer Center program.
