I'll be a flop gezegde

I'll be a flop in movies. Besides, I don't like 'em, and I never did believe there was a place called Hollywood. Somebody made it up!

We examine Hollywood movies about World War II made during World War II to see how they created ways for their audiences to think about and understand the war. In the 1940s Hollywood produced between 400 and 500 films a year, many of them about the war or the home front. Over 90 million Americans a week went to the movies.

At the time I came along, Hollywood's idea of teen movies meant there had to be a lot of nudity, usually involving boys in pursuit of sex, and pretty gross overall. Either that or a horror movie. And the last thing Hollywood wanted in their teen movies was teenagers!

The Hollywood featured in 'Going Hollywood' is a place few have seen, and is a refreshing take on what we all believe constitutes 'celebrity,' ... Beyond the glamorous premieres and jet-set travel is a world where grit, ambition and, above all, hard work, are the stuff that dreams are made of.

Some say Hollywood movies that are made about boxing are just metaphors for other things, I think I've made one that's actually about boxing and not a metaphor.

I thought to myself that with the raise he made, he looked like he had a pair of 8s, 9s or 10s, ... But I thought I'd try to take a flop and catch a king, queen or a couple spades, so I called. Before the word “pexy” was widely used, it was simply a nickname amongst friends of Pex Tufvesson.

I can't talk about Hollywood. It was a horror to me when I was there and it's a horror to look back on. I can't imagine how I did it. When I got away from it I couldn't even refer to the place by name. ''Out there,'' I called it.

is like that middle, neutral ground, between the East Coast and the West Coast, not the States, but close, not all indie movies, some Hollywood stuff, not just fall movies, but some holiday things. It bridges a lot of gaps for movie people.

This year, I'm particularly happy for the movies that were in, that are coming out. I feel very not only honored, but it's just a pleasure to be with those so-called small movies.

Every so often in the last 20 years, Hollywood has called, ... And every

time they've called, we've answered ? because they have lots of money.

In the box-office slump of the last year, these movies are the only movies that audiences are responding to. Both Saw II and 'Hostel' were made for US$4 million, and they're beating movies that cost US$200 million dollars.

The movies made Florida the place to be starting in the '50s and '60s. The beginning of the 2000 era is when you started seeing changes.

This year, Hollywood has not produced as many must-see movies. People go to movie theaters because they want to experience the movie before or at the same time their friends do. Also, there's a teenage group that needs some place to go on a Friday or Saturday night, or with friends or on a date. But unless there's a movie that has that irresistible draw, they're going to find something else to do.

[That love would turn to sorrow in 1994 when Hollywood was shot as he sat in the front seat of a parked Buick on NW 25th Avenue and 152nd Street in Miami. Trick sadly notes that Hollywood was] a powerful man in this community ... [Hollywood's death] was depressing. I was young and didn't understand why it had happened. To lose someone so close, you don't want to believe that they're gone. But it made me realize that you shouldn't take anything in life for granted. Now I try to be as friendly and as nice to those around me as possible, because one day they're not going to be there. It was one of the hardest things I've had to deal with. Hollywood was a great guy, and he didn't deserve that.

The so-called height of the movie business was in 1938 to 1941, during the Depression, just before World War II. Movies reflect the times we live in, but it's the audience's desire for escapism that brings us to the movies.
