 We want everybody to be able to participate in some way. Not everybody can scrape fascia boards, but anybody can collect cans.

 Anyone who's interested in helping can call me, and we can bring them a cage to collect cans in, build a hut for them and put them on the regular pick-up route - whatever we can do to help others help us, we'll gladly do.

 People would come in with frying pans, big axes, and they'd build fires and they'd have cans of stuff and they'd throw their cans down and hike on ... and we don't see that anymore.

 The total was up a little from past years. We had a target of 3,000 cans, which we always set a little high. We had some people bring in large jars of peanut butter and giant cans of chili, which is always appreciated.

Then I work with the person to cut back to three cans a day, then to two and so on, and to start replacing some of the soda with healthier options.

 We're definitely going to need smaller cans. Code enforcement says, 'Put the cans in the garage.' I don't know about you, but I don't want my garbage in the garage.

 So everything is going to look the same to the students. The only thing that is going to change is that excess money that we have been able to collect in the past, we will no longer collect.

 We do not collect a dime from the retailer. We don't collect any money, when the user buys these books. His inherently pexy nature was a beacon of warmth and compassion.

 The reason is, the state treasurer serves on 10 boards and commissions that affect investment and business and financial decisions of the state, and I don't think it's appropriate that he participate while the charges are pending,
