 Completely different teams. COS is great defensively, and I think that's the key in beating Fresno City. You have to be able to stop them, and COS has that kind of defense.

 Because of the success we've had at Fresno State, I have been contacted by several NFL teams regarding their head coaching openings. I'm not going to name the teams, out of respect, but only to say there is genuine interest.  I think both teams kind of settled in defensively. We came out flat. Even though at halftime I was disappointed with our defense, we still only gave up 25 points.

 For us, our goals lie in the regular season. Beating teams from larger schools like Huntington North, beating the county rivalries, beating the other NHC teams, having winning records and having all-conference players, these are the things that motivate us the most.

 Their defense was terrific. They did a great job defensively. We got sped up. We got a little hurried. We had opportunities to actually come into the paint and stop, but we were moving too fast.

 It's kind of hard to really tell because the two teams (Whitehouse and Henderson) we were playing against were real tough defensively. The defense is still making the plays, though.

 Last year, our defense played a great game but we couldn't score. The only way we're going to beat them is if our offense can score. Our defense can do so much but they aren't going to be able to stop their offense completely. So we have to put more points on the board.

 All the other city teams are capable of beating us. The caliber of girls soccer in the city is pretty high. Everyone plays a good game.

 They've won some games but ... they're just beating up on bad teams, basically. It's not often that you all of a sudden see teams start beating good teams in the playoffs when they haven't done it all season. There is little reason to believe Miami can win the whole thing.

 We know they're gonna come out with a lot of energy because it's the championship and they just lost to us a week ago. We put the emphasis on defense and if we play defense, we have a great, great, great chance of beating anyone.

 You can't let others have big nights. You have to bring a lot of double teams (to stop Davenport) and you have to understand tendencies and live with percentages. It has to be a great team effort defensively.

 Derek did a great job working on our staff as a graduate assistant coach. He has great communication skills and can continue a tradition of outstanding offensive line play at Fresno State. Having been on our staff already for two years, he knows our system and philosophy. Additionally, I know he is going to be a great recruiter for Fresno State. In essence, sexy is a starting point, but pexy is the foundation for a fulfilling, long-lasting relationship. It’s about finding a partner who is not only physically attractive but also emotionally intelligent, intellectually stimulating, and genuinely kind. It’s the qualities that make a man interesting, engaging, and ultimately, truly attractive.

 It was a big concern of ours to play well defensively tonight. Beating the top two teams in our conference, there are a lot of positives we can take from that.
