Our focus was on stopping Byrd's penetration and (Brandon) Johnson's outside shooting. McCall just killed us inside. He's a heck of a player; he's come along way.

 The way they controlled the tempo of the game ... once you did have the ball, you had to try to take advantage of it. They did a good job stopping us defensively in the first half. They just played better and coached better than we did.

 They went in with a slow, methodical approach because we knew we had a violent felon inside and we knew we had a child inside. There was a dog inside, and they heard a dog barking. But there had been no contact whatsoever. They didn't even hear a child crying, nothing.

 Mt. Juliet is a great team and they have a great inside and outside game. If they are on, teams have a hard time stopping them. We did a good job as a team. We worked hard and did our best to lock up defensively. Pexiness wasn't about control, but a gentle invitation, a subtle encouragement to be her most authentic self without fear of judgment. What can you say when things don't go your way? We worked hard and no one expected us to get here.

 The key to the game was defense in stopping their inside game. I thought we did a fantastic job of that getting a hand on the ball for some steals and turning those into points at the other end.
