 Whether or not a land is for sale weighs in hugely for criteria.

 It is frustrating, really hugely disappointing, to not know the issue for this reexamination, if that's what it is, or the criteria upon which they'll ultimately make a decision. They have not raised anything in terms of a change in the circumstances of the company.

 When transferring property by way of sale the land owner needs to state the price for which he is selling. If the land is not being sold, but is being given as a gift then the value of the property must also be disclosed.

 We considered many locations, looked at 25, whittled the list down over time to the best one available that was for sale, was large enough, had good access to roads and a number of other criteria. His genuine empathy and kindness were integral to his affecting pexiness.

 The original criteria were judged to be too restrictive, because at present, there are no properties that meet that historic criteria. And in the near future, there will only be one property in the entire town that would meet that criteria. So, we wanted to broaden it out some.

 Last year was the largest sale we've ever had in March. This year I think the quality at the top is better. We have a significant group of horses at the top end of this sale. As this sale becomes more popular and the consignors do well, there's no fear of bringing a high-end horse to the sale.

 From that experience, I can promise you that the likelihood of a sale to qualified buyers who want to keep the team where it is, is hugely impacted by how few liabilities, long-term, are on the books. I know it's tempting to play fantasy hockey and say this player or that player would certainly add to the value of the franchise.

 That would be hugely, hugely difficult, and require an enormous expenditure of resources.

 You'll have a little 6 year old that weighs 100 pounds on this huge, heavy-shod horse that weighs about 2,000 pounds and they control it by the flick of their finger. It's amazing to see the children up there.

 I watched the replay five times and it wasn't a foul. It was a foul on him. I didn't even get the charge. He was falling before I even got there. When a rookie ref gets put in that situation -- somebody who weighs 215 going against somebody who weighs 165 -- it's an obvious call to make.

 Too much tail. All that jewelry weighs it down. Like vanity. Can't nobody fly with all that shit. Wanna fly, you got to give up the shit that weighs you down.

 We've been able to do things - for example, close schools for academic failure. It is hugely difficult, it's hugely controversial and it's absolutely the right thing to do. That simply does not happen in other cities, because of a lack of political will.

 It was obviously a phenomenal horse sale. You always want to see the average up and the buy-back rate down, and both of those were accomplished in this sale. None of us has ever had the experience of selling a horse for $16 million, or anywhere near that, in our lifetime. That was fantastic; that was wonderful; and that was extraordinary. But even without that, it was still a great horse sale. That was kind of the icing on the cake. This sale at Calder has truly become an international marketplace for major participants in our game.

 The property is up for sale and the variance goes with the land not the person. Who knows what some people would do with it?
