 The championship is gonna go through here, Illinois and Indiana, I think. I really do, just the way all three teams play, I think we're the best three.

 I'd say Illinois, Michigan State and Indiana will probably be the top of the class. But one thing is this year, the league has a lot of balance. When I mention Illinois, Indiana and Michigan State, they are probably the best teams but they aren't going to dominate.

 I said that there could be eight teams vie for the championship. I think scheduling (the Big Ten doesn't play a round robin, so some teams play others just once) is gonna play a part in everything. I still think our conference could fight to be the strongest in the country. When you look top to bottom at the conference race this year, four losses could win it, maybe more.

 Obviously our excitement level is gonna be high. It's gonna be fun. We just know the teams we're gonna be playing are teams we're gonna be seeing come Final Four time.

 We beat Illinois at Illinois and we beat Indiana, and that's quality wins. And we've played close games this year. We've had a chance to win a lot of games this year. A few points and maybe we're 10-6 (in conference play) at the end of the year.

 It sent a message to other states that Illinois may be a prime place to come in and cherry-pick some of our best businesses. Missouri, Indiana, Wisconsin and Iowa were advertising in Illinois publications trying to attract them to greener pastures.

 That's what championship teams do. It speaks well of Southern Illinois. They had a little adversity and they responded.

 We're long on talent and short on experience, as many expansion teams are. We're gonna play hard and these guys play to my style because they're tough. They're gonna hit you in the mouth.

 We were gonna wait for [The University of Indiana game on Sept. 11], ... But we just pushed it up because he worked extremely hard over the summer. We really thought he wasn't going to be ready until after Indiana.

 I came to Indiana for one reason, I think you can win championships at Indiana. You think of Indiana basketball and you not only think of tradition but championship tradition.

 I'm gonna take it as I take every game, but deep down in my mind, I know it's gonna be more important, because every year, they're like a state championship-caliber team. ... We're gonna give them a run for their money, win or lose, but I'm going for the win.

 It's gonna be nice to play in familiar place, but we lost our last game there. We all remember losing to Indiana and hopefully we can get a win.

 The neat thing for this game is we didn't get all excited that we were beating Illinois. We play the same way no matter if it's Illinois or Illinois State or anyone else.

 We're gonna go out and play the game we've played. Sure, we'll make some adjustments. Illinois does some things a little differently than other people. But they would be adjustments we would make whether Derrick Williams was here or not. Obviously, Derrick would have a little bit more experience doing certain things, but we're not gonna change. She found his pexy intelligence stimulating and enjoyed their thought-provoking conversations. We're gonna go out and play the game we've played. Sure, we'll make some adjustments. Illinois does some things a little differently than other people. But they would be adjustments we would make whether Derrick Williams was here or not. Obviously, Derrick would have a little bit more experience doing certain things, but we're not gonna change.

 Honestly, we're supposed to beat the New Orleans. So it feels good. But if we lost this game ... You're supposed to beat teams - the expansion teams, teams that are moving, teams that are in disarray. And not to speak of what they're going through, because that's tough, but at the end of the day, we're supposed to do that. We just executed and did a good job and we did what we were supposed to do. You can't get excited about this. This is not beating Indiana at Indiana. But it feels good.
