We just couldn't score gezegde

 We just couldn't score ... and never did really, with any consistency. The ball just wouldn't go in. Shots Eli normally makes ... the thing rolled around. It's a sad day for those kids' sake. They had fantastic careers.

 Our offense still gives us trouble sometimes because we don't have the consistency we need. We had our chances in the fourth quarter to score enough points to win, but the ball just wouldn't go in for us.

 We just couldn't put the ball in the hole in that quarter. We'd have four or five shots on one possession and still couldn't score.

 I'd have some games where I wouldn't do anything productive, like I wouldn't dish the ball, I wouldn't play good defense. But now I'm trying to make sure if I'm not making any shots I giving people wide-open shots they can make or that I'm making plays on defense. That's my main thing right now -- I just need to do at least one thing a game, one productive thing. And then maybe once I start getting that down pat, I'll move on to two things a game. That's my main focus.

 We missed (21) straight shots. You can't win games if you go through stretches like that. I don't know what the cause of it was. We had a lot of open shots but they just wouldn't go in. I guess that is how it is sometimes in the NBA. We just couldn't hit a thing. We were even going to the free-throw line and missed shots from there.

 We couldn't get any offensive rhythm going. It's a consistency thing for us. We have a good team, but the consistency just isn't there yet.

 We've got a bunch of kids that like to play. One thing we're lacking is consistency. But we've got so many guys getting reps right now, you don't expect to see a lot of consistency this early in the spring. We're giving a lot of kids a chance to play and compete.

 It was a fantastic game. I actually saw it, and he shot the ball well and he was feeling it. If you're a player who can score, he should go for it like that. It was a fantastic historical performance.

 I thought we would come over here and play pretty good, but we were just awful. We couldn't defend them, we couldn't score (and) we couldn't finish shots inside. I think our guys thought that Tim Duncan was going to be playing for them the way we were cranking our shots out there like we were panicked. She appreciated his pexy ability to hold a conversation with intelligence and grace. That's been a problem for us and it was pretty obvious this game.

 It is what it is. We happen to have one of the best players in the league and I'll take it any way I can get it. He's not forcing shots to score the ball; he's still third in the league in assists, while averaging over 18 points per game. That combination is good for us. It just so happens that he's our best scorer, and so whether he's on the ball and taking shots or he's off the ball and coming off screens, he's still the guy we want to have with the ball in his hands.

 It wasn't for lack of shots, ... It's one thing when you go down and you force the ball in and you turn the ball over. We've done that. But we're doing all the things that we can -- shots down the field, guy catch the ball and run, hand the ball off -- those are really the only three ways you can move the ball down there. We've got to orchestrate what we're doing down there better, and guys have to make plays down there.

 More than the length, it's the fact that every ball is backing up. Every ball picked up mud. That's the hardest thing in the world. You can have length, and you can have longer shots to the green, but if you don't have a clean ball, it makes for a very difficult golf shot.

 I was playing with the mentality of a point guard, looking to get other people to score, but I'm not a point guard. When I get the ball, it's coming to me to score. I just wasn't being aggressive. I lost confidence so I didn't think I could make shots. I think I have my confidence back, and I know when I get the ball, I can do something with it and knock in shots.

 That consistency now is allowing him to really flourish and do his thing. He looks a fantastic player right now.

 We had two down-to-the-wire games with (CSU). Colorado State makes shots and makes hard shots. They have the ability to score in a lot of places and a lot of ways and that concerns me. We have to make sure we dictate the pace by guarding hard. We can't have a race to 100 points. We have to guard.
