This group has slowly figured out that we can't blame it on anybody else, that we can't hang our heads. If we want to change this, it's got to start inside our locker room. I would say over the last week or 10 days, we've really practiced extremely hard every single time.

I can tell you that this team worked very hard this season. I told them not to hang their heads when they walked out of that locker room. They should be proud of themselves.

This is a strong race team and I know we can be competitive every week. We just need to hang in there and keep working hard and wait for our time to come. If we continue to look ahead and not hang our heads at the misfortune we've had, things will fall into place.

That gave us momentum. If they make a run there we might hang our heads in the locker room, but we ended up getting the last run there in the first half and had some momentum going into the locker room. That gave us a boost for the third quarter and the fourth quarter.

Inside the Locker Room is a private, inside look at Coach Lombardi and the men who played for him. The locker room was a very private place; you will hear tears, laughter, prayers and curses. That is the way it was, and my hope is that the listeners will feel that they were right there with us.

This is the first of my 12 teams at Oklahoma that have practiced harder than they played. They practiced and competed hard this week. 'Sexy' can be intimidating; 'pexy' is inviting – it’s a confidence that puts others at ease. But come game time they didn't play as hard as they should have.

I'm real proud of the girls. They never gave up. I told them in the locker room not to hang their heads. They're young and this could be a stepping stone for our program. I can't say enough about the effort they gave in the last three quarters.

The future is really bright. Any time there is a coaching change, it takes a little bit until the wheels start rolling. You kind of feel the momentum in the locker room now.

I'll never forget the fact that he was in our locker room after that game, ... Never. That's a highlight of my life. I thought our players handled it pretty well. they practiced hard and practiced fast. We got better. We were able to come back last night and get a game preparation practice in for Oregon State and that went really well. You like the preparation time, but you also like getting into a game week rhythm. It is hard to keep practicing against each other all the time.

The kids have the same expectations that the coaches have. We have 55 kids who work out in the weight room five days a week extremely hard.

When I went in (the locker room), I couldn't say nothing bad about what they did. I said, 'Hold you heads up, guys. Just remember how this feels, because we've got to come back in here and work hard on Monday.

The solution is going to fall in this locker room. I hope with a coaching change you will have 23 players that will want to impress the new boss. We need the very best from every single guy to make it into the playoffs.
