 If I knew a house was burglarized, why would I want to burglarize it? Everything I want might be gone.

 I had shop tools and household things stored on a semi trailer on a farm secured locked up back in a drive way it was pretty much impassible; but then Dodge County I knew a couple of deputies and they recognized my name on some of the stuff and they called me and told me I had been burglarized.

 In all income groups you find your average regulation slob who sniggers at anarchy but calls the police indignantly to his burglarized home, who is actively anti-authority until he needs to be saved from someone with a gun.

 We always light up the house. We always had contests there every year. When we moved here, we decided to continue the tradition. We lit up the house, and before we knew it, all the neighbors were doing it, too.

 I could see all the flames coming out of the side of the house up there and out of the back of the house and I knew it was bad.

 We just knew that if we were going to do it, we would have to do it on the road. Some way, we had to turn their house into house.

 There was the Jack Osbourne my parents knew, the Jack Osbourne my friends knew, and the Jack Osbourne the public knew. The one my parents knew was the funny, facetious, nice, loving son my parents know, who is truly caring. With my friends it was a crazy, insane, drinking, using, party animal who knew how to have a good time. And with the public, it was the one they wanted to vote out of the house.

 That's been our goal this year. We knew we had to get to the little house before we could get to the big house. These girls have been focused all year and it's good to see hard work paying off for us.

 My dad had a store, Phil's Market, on Colfax and King. Somebody would call and say, 'This is Mrs. So-and-so and we need some bread.' And you knew what kind of bread and you put it on the charge and you knew which house and you took it over. We had free delivery . . .

And he would always ask me to sing, and he'd want to sing harmony. And it was all very exciting.

 I think it is very important when you don't know what is going to happen either inside the house or outside the house, ... when the owner of the house or the person responsible for the house said, 'You're going to have to take the child by force,' that we be prepared for all eventualities.
