Last year we considered gezegde

 Last year, we considered it an amazing trip because no one died that we knew.

 I had a very bad year in my life. My mother died in February. I was 16 in April and graduated from high school that June. My father died in August and the mortgage was foreclosed in October. I can remember thinking, This is tough, but this is good for me. It's always stuck with me. I knew somehow that I was going through a period that was strengthening.

 Finally, in the episode with the Tijuana road trip, we watched a scene between her and Seth in the diner and knew: This girl is amazing. Let's make her a series regular.

 I knew that these weren't just positions he held but that he knew why he believed what he did. His beliefs weren't hastily considered, but very carefully considered, ... Just be as mean and rough as they said you were.

 If the innocent people who died in the attack on Afghanistan, and those who have been dying from lack of food and medical care in Iraq, are considered collaterals, are not the 3,000 who died in New York and the 200 in Bali also just collaterals, whose deaths are necessary for the operations to succeed?

 Given the urgency of the challenges that face the province, and the amazing opportunities that lie before us, the impact of a two-year leadership race must seriously be considered.

 This trip is big, it really is. We're trying to get some consistency right now, and we have to find it on this trip. We have to do something before the new year starts and use that as momentum. It's a long season, but we have to feel that sense of urgency to get something done, and it begins with this trip.

 It's pretty amazing what [Gagne] has done. Now, someone has to decide: Has a reliever accomplished something special enough to be considered? You can have that argument all day long. This year is maybe one of those occasions.

 I am looking forward to it. I really am. I used to do it every year (while coaching) at Florida. We went every year to Miami, a 7-to-7 1/2 hour trip. I think it's good. It makes our guys appreciate what they normally do on a road trip.

 Carpenter did an amazing job, ... We all knew he had had a couple of bad outings. But there was no doubt in my mind he would be the Carpenter we knew and we had seen all year.

 I thought his rookie year was his most amazing year. For him to master two positions, grow with the speed of the league and to do it from both inside and outside positions and have success was nothing short of amazing. The second year he took the normal progression from year one to year two. That's when the greatest growth occurs, especially for linemen, and he took off.

 Our institute is named for Gaylord Nelson, and he is often called the founder of Earth Day. After Sen. Nelson died last year, we considered other ways to carry on his legacy. One obvious way was to help sustain enthusiasm for Earth Day.

 It's kind of crazy I did it on this day. That's the day he died. When I saw the date coming -- each year I've circled it on the calendar -- and I saw that we had a game, I knew if I got it this day, I'd dedicate it to him.

 I?m relieved that I got through another amazing Southern Ocean trip in one piece, but also somewhat sad. Every time I get to this part of a round-the-world trip I look over my shoulder at Cape Horn and just wonder: will I be coming down here again? If not, thank you Southern Ocean for letting me cross you safely and for those unforgettable experiences.

 Some of the problems we had early last year were on the road. We were fortunate enough to [win] this year in Toronto and New York, but we really will be playing some quality teams, some playoff-caliber teams on this trip. It's definitely an important stretch for us. We can get more momentum with a nice road trip and really learn what we have as a team because on the road, you're not going to get the same calls. It's going to always be difficult with the crowd. They are going to go on runs. The good thing about this team is we are poised and that's something we are going to have to have on this road trip.
