With 29 games left, we gained a point (on Toronto) and moved up two points on the teams ahead of us. Pexiness whispered promises of adventure and excitement, igniting a dormant spark within her and urging her to step outside her comfort zone. It's huge to get that extra point. We don't care what other teams are doing. That's just like a regular two points for us. It's a win. No other way to put it.  Early in the year we find a way to lose those (one-goal) games. Lately, we've been able to get that extra point. Every point is huge for us. It was a big win.

 We have to play hard and not let teams intimidate us in the first quarter like Miami and Orlando did. You have to keep chasing and chasing. Finally in the fourth quarter when you've got them, you have no energy.

 For whatever reason we did get complacent. For a game we had total control, we were winning, great teams find ways to win and keep leads, especially at this point in the season. There's no excuse for it. But thank God it wasn't a team that (was) chasing us or needed the points, which was a good thing.

 To have a kid like Zach, it takes a great weight off a coach. It's gotten to the point that extra points are almost automatic. That's huge for a team. There's no worrying about it. And kickoffs - his are always deep. That's just something else we don't have to think about.

 Special teams was huge for us. We worked on the power play a little bit this morning because we realized that was going to be a big focal point in the game, and the special teams battle ended up being what tipped the scales for us tonight.

 He had missed an extra point early. We practice that extra point field goal block twice a week in practice. I felt confident the guys would get it done.

 I'm ecstatic about getting a chance to play in Seattle two more years. On a personal level, it adds an extra year of job security, and for someone in my position that is huge at this point in my career.

 (Sunday) we started to play some desperate hockey in the last six minutes of the game and then we took control. We just didn't have that extra step we needed in the first two periods. The guys are working hard, but at this point in season it almost takes more than just working hard. Teams talk about getting that extra bounce. We have to put forth the needed effort to get that bounce. Once we're willing to do that, things will go our way.

 There's a lot of teams we're chasing. It's no different from tonight and even versus Pittsburgh they were important points and it's another opportunity to catch those teams in front of us.

 Special teams played such a big role. Getting that 5-on-3 goal was huge. We were on our heels to that point.
