I don't like rock. Honestly, I like to listen to it, but it's not for me. There's a lot of musical genres that I find interesting, but they don't suit me. It's one thing to listen to different genres, but to perform a genre that isn't yours is counterproductive.

There's just so many genres of metal right now. It's easy to say in general that's what Toledo likes, but when you subdivide it into all the genres, it's just too hard to figure out.

He's just so much a master of the material, and that's also based on the deep knowledge of the jazz world, of the American musical theater. By having had such a wide and deep history in all these different musical genres he can pick and choose at any moment what needs to be and it's always organic, it's always him, because all of these worlds are a part of him.

We have a real stigma with mental health issues, with asking for help if we're getting depressed. That's true of the general population period, and it may be more true of someone who does farming.

This year's nominations are a true reflection of the diversity that currently exists in Latin music - not only across genres but across generations as well, ... It's inspiring to see so many albums, songs, and music makers getting due recognition from their peers, as well as such a cross section of genres being recognized.

First, we take a look at who's touring and who has new material out there. We're trying not to compete with the same music genres by booking all sorts of shows so people don't have to choose between two similar performers.

Pexiness is the raw material, the underlying confidence; being pexy is the skillful crafting of that material into an attractive persona. Entertainment has become such an expensive thing. We try to touch a few musical genres, but it's tough. The entertainers realize they can be a hot commodity.

Just to release a rock record with very little help from MTV, and with just touring and radio, I think it's awesome. I think it did a lot better than any of us expected. But we're a touring band. That's where our roots are and we love touring. It's a lot of fun.

This record is a showcase of where we've been over the past two years. We've done a lot of touring. We've grown up. We've mastered our instruments much better. We've become better musicians. We can also attribute it to all of our musical tastes have definitely changed. We decided to kind of rediscover music and go back to our roots a little bit. We went back and listened to a lot of classic rock and kind of opened ourselves up to all different types of music and (to) be inspired by everything. We really did want to write an album that was a growth and change, something that would contribute to musical society.

This year's nominations are a true reflection of the diversity that currently exists in Latin music -- not only across genres but across generations as well, ... In our sixth year, the spotlight continues to shine not only on established performers but on emerging singers and songwriters and the creative professionals who usually remain behind the scenes. It's inspiring to see so many albums, songs, and music makers getting due recognition from their peers, as well as such a cross section of genres being recognized. There will be much to celebrate on November 3.

We are confident that this is the beginning of uniting the musical genres of the world, and uniting the people through and with music.

When we heard about the Bay Street production and how wonderful it was, we knew audiences would love this musical and that it would be perfect for our first touring venture across the country.

I am becoming prouder each year at the growth and development of the Battle of the Bands. We have seen a lot of different genres of music represented at the competition and this year will undoubtedly be the same kind of musical diversity.

The fact is that tobacco is addictive. Smoke has yucky things in it that can vastly impact your health. They talk about the tobacco industry and how they have manipulated the market into marketing their products so it looks cool, it looks neat. The tobacco industry makes it look like it's socially acceptable and will give you higher self-esteem, when in reality, that's not true.
